U10 girls soccer continues winning ways

After going undefeated through winter sessions, the U10 girls entered the spring season registering for the Midland Tournament as well as the MYSL Junior State Cup.
After placing first in Midland Tournament they turned their attention the Junior State Cup.
OSC started the State Cup run with games in South Lyon and St Joe’s. OSC then hosted the first State Cup game held in Oxford and defeated Kalamazoo’s Kingdom Select, 7-3.
This win qualified the girls for the semifinals in Saginaw where they went on to defeat the Dearborn Drive.
‘I continue to be impressed with these young ladies,? said Coach Bob Herrgott. ‘Each of them play with a lot of heart and support one another on the field. The State Cup run was fantastic and I am looking forward to our final games this weekend.?
This team will be expanding to 8v8 next season and will be looking for a few players on June 14 when the Oxford Soccer Club has their tryouts at Seymour Lake Twp. Park.
