Record breaking

Bumper-to-bumper traffic heading north on Sashabaw Road last Friday night slowed Clarkston Gridiron Heroes from dropping off their food donations to Lighthouse North.
But it didn’t slow down the tally as the Wolves collected 7,463 pounds of food for the 17th Annual Rush for Food to feed their community. It was a record breaking year as they collectected 1,066 pounds more than they raised last year.
Varsity and JV Football players collected food from neighborhoods throughout Independence and Springfield townships while the freshman players sorted and weighed the food at Lighthouse.
