Waterford Community Church hosts a Walk Through Bethlehem during the first two weekends in December.
Church members, many of whom are from Clarkston, present a dramatic re-enactment of Christ’s birth, life, death and resurrection, portraying locals, merchants, and shepherds speaking of the miraculous signs of the coming of Christ.
“Come experience the sights, sounds, smells and customs of ancient history within the recreated city of Bethlehem,” said Kate Eichhorn of Waterford Community Church. “Mingle with’townspeople, stroll through various shops, and see live animals,’shepherds, and the stable where Christ was born.”
Guided 30-minute tours are indoors and begin every five minutes. Enjoy live entertainment while waiting for your tour, and refreshments afterward. Performances are Dec. 5-7 and 12-14; Fridays 7-9 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 4-8 p.m. Admission is free.
Waterford Community Church is located at 3900 Airport Road between Andersonville and Williams Lake Roads, just west of Dixie Highway.
