The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
That’s exactly what Oxford High School Choir Director Christopher Card and his students will be doing at this year’s showing of ‘The Many Moods of Christmas.?
There will be five shows taking place at Oxford Middle School, from Thursday, Dec. 11 through Saturday, Dec. 13.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday; 6 and 8 p.m. Friday; and 6 and 8 p.m. Saturday.
It looks like it will be yet another set of sold-out shows for the choir program.
Many students are very excited about the shows, and the proceeds that will be raised for the program from the performances.
‘It truly is the most wonderful time of the year for me as a choir student. The program also benefits (the choirs) greatly, as this is one of our biggest fund-raisers,? said OHS senior Mia Paese.
The Many Moods of Christmas started eight years ago, during Card’s first year at OHS.
There were two showings for people who wanted to hear traditional Christmas music and attend an enjoyable holiday school function. Because of the show’s popularity, it now extends over three nights.
Chances are high that every seat will be filled every night.
‘Each year, we have had to add a show because of how popular it is, and traditionally the tickets sell out in advance, so to some degree, it makes it a difficult show just to advertise, due to the demand,? said Card.
Tickets are $5, which includes the performance and a desert buffet.
They are going fast.
Even if the weather outside is frightful, Card and his students will definitely make these shows delightful.
