Staff at RDM Associates, a Clarkston accounting firm, used their annual Christmas party as an opportunity to collectively wrap gifts they purchased to support Oakland Family Services’ Adopt-A-Family program.
‘RDM staff volunteered to adopt two area families,? said RDM President Rick Miller.
Staff bought and wrapped gifts, which were items requested by the families.
‘It was a fun project and a rewarding experience for the entire team,” added Miller.
Each year OFS coordinates with families in need to bring holiday joy to kids who might otherwise go without.
Oakland Family Services’ Adopt-A-Family program was created in 1985. This year, it helped 180 families with 395 children, said Kathryn Ribant-Payne, OFS Director of Marketing.
‘We are so appreciative of the teamwork between those who donated, our staff, and the wonderful volunteers who coordinated the huge effort of taking delivery on so many gifts,? said Miller.
