On the hard wood, the Lady Cats pushed their OAA White record to 2-0 after beating Avondale on the road with a 45-26 win, bringing their record to 8-4 on the season.
‘Oxford and Avondale pushed the ball up and down the court for four quarters, but in the end it was Oxford’s pressure defense that proved too much for the Yellowjackets. Oxford was again led in scoring by Jessica Murphy, with 19 points 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Skye Donaldson scored 12 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and had 4 steals. Cherilyn Banas lead all assists with 7 and chipped in 4 points. In the loss Avondale was led by Aaliyah Mason with 15 points.
The girls also enjoyed big non-league action win of 66-26 against the Lake Fenton Blue Devils earlier in the week.
The Wildcats jumped out to an early 31 ? 6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Oxford was led by Jessica Murphy with 20 points.
Skye Donaldson added 17 points and 11 of 13 players got on the board in the game. The Wildcats shot 86 percent from three-point range hitting 6 of 7 shots and were 6 of 6 in the first half.
Cherilyn Banas as again the assist leader with 7. In the loss Lake Fenton was led by Sierra Arroyo with 8 points.

The girls will have a tough battle as they take on West Bloomfield at home on Friday. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
