The Lady Cats are dominating the OAA White Division in the court with a current 7-0 league record and 13-4 overall record after securing two more wins this past week.
Oxford served notice to the OAA White that the race for the divisional title runs through Oxford.
The Wildcats defeated Bloomfield Hills by a score of 79-46.?
The Wildcats outscored Bloomfield in each of the four quarters, but didn’t pull comfortably away until deep in the third.
Bloomfield was kept in the game by their leading scorer Amanda Moss with 26 points.
However, it was the tandem of Jessica Murphy and Skye Donaldson that led the way for Oxford.
Murphy scored a game high 30 points, went 17-for-17 from the line, pulled down 8 rebounds and had five assists while eclipsing 1,000 points in her high school career.
Donaldson contributed her first double ? double scoring 16 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
Also for Oxford, Abigail Butkiewicz reached double figures scoring 10 points, and Cherilyn Banas had nine points, five assists and four steals.
Later in the week, the girls continued their domination as they defeated the Avondale Yellow Jackets 52-29.?
The Yellow Jackets were able to keep it close for a quarter trailing only by seven at the end of the first; behind some three-point shooting by their leading scorer Alaya Mason (15 points).
However, the Wildcat defense exerted itself in the second quarter holding the Yellow Jackets to just three points while pouring in another 17 themselves.
With a 34-13 lead at the half, the Wildcats went deep into their bench in the second half, giving the reserves some well earned playing time.
Oxford was led by Jessica Murphy with 28 points, five rebounds and three steals. Second leading scorer for the Wildcats was Christina Medici with eight points.
The Wildcats go on the road this week on Feb. 19 to up against Troy.
