Touring since the early 1990s, Michael Brody has been performing his standup comedy with hypnosis to high school students all across the Midwest.
Last Wednesday, Brody brought his show back to Oxford High School, and made several students believe they won $180 million, and think they were meeting their favorite celebrity.
But was this ‘hypnosis,? just a bunch of pop-psychological bologna?
Brody used a susceptibility test to pick his participants. As he explained, he wasn’t looking for ‘suckers? who were obviously not the brightest of the bunch, but people who looked like intense thinkers, and looked like they could be placed into a certain stage of hypnosis.
‘It honestly made me laugh, and I couldn’t believe some of the stuff the hypnotist was able to do,? said OHS senior Jessie Fallis.
Still don’t believe it?
One of the most entertaining moments of the night came when the hypnotist narrowed his volunteers down to six ladies. All of them were submerged in such a deep hypnosis that Brody was able to make them believe he was Channing Tatum, Matthew Stafford and even Eminem.
‘I’m going to remember that forever,? Michael Brody said after junior, Jenna Khula, complimented him ? or Channing Tatum ? on his stunning abs and biceps.
If you’re still a non-believer, you may just have to see it for yourself.
