Screaming fans packed the Ian Smith gymnasium Tuesday morning to watch Oxford’s own Special Olympics basketball team, the Paws, take on their rivals from Lake Orion. It was a terrific game as both sides played their very best and had tons of fun on the hardwood. Lake Orion narrowly defeated the Paws 28-23, but that didn’t dampen Oxford’s spirits one bit as the players hugged, high-fived and posed for photos after the game. They’re all winners.
