North Sashabaw Elementary students learned about the science of hot air balloons when Shawn Raya, RE/MAX corporate pilot, stopped by for a visit, March 12.
RE/MAX agent Randy Miller sponsored the program in which students got to sit inside the balloon, feel the heat of its propane gas tanks, and help wrap it all up.
Miller also donated dipping bird toys, which are powered by heat like a hot air balloon, to each classroom.
The red, white and blue RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon stands 80 feet-tall. It was tethered and inflated on its side with a cold air fan in the gymnasium.
