Letter to Editor: Scoop the poop on the trail

To the person or persons, many thanks for cleaning the Polly Ann Trail of dog feces that was left by rude dog walkers that allow their dog to go on the trail and then don’t clean up after them.
Please don’t blame it on the winter.
They should carry a bag and pick it up.
The day after the Good Samaritan rid the trail of most dog feces, lo and behold we walked the trail from Burdick and the end of the highline wires there were seven. Yes you can read right, seven piles (of dog feces). The trail is for all to enjoy, not just the dog walkers that use the trail for their own toilet for dogs. I’m not against dogs, just dog owners that refuse to clean up after (their) dogs.
By the way, we cleaned the seven piles off the trail. We cleaned off fresh feces. If you go out at noon or after, there will be more. (I) don’t know what else to say, except if you don’t want to clean up after your dog, then leave your dog home, it’s not the dogs fault.
We are so lucky to have such a nice trail for walkers, joggers and runners. Let’s keep the trail clean for all. Clean (up) after yourself and this means trash also. I don’t know what the trail would look like if it wasn’t for the good people that clean up after the people that don’t clean up after themselves.
