Charity car show cruisers help children

This year was the first year the Golling Buick GMC ? LOPA charity show was showcased in the downtown. Based on the turnout and positive comments, there are already plans to hold the 2nd annual event in this location.
What a perfect day- sun, fun, music and classic cars. The Lake Orion Police Shop with a Hero program raised $3,000. Every $150 raised takes another child shopping. The LO Police Department is grateful to the downtown businesses for allowing them to take the streets for a day, and to Bill Golling, General Manager John Cooper and Bill Kokenas. These guys support the Lake Orion community with the money and their personal time. Special thanks to Don Ginhart and his crew at 51 North Brewery for hosting the pancake breakfast, as well as the music of Rockin? Ronnie and 2 Days Gone, and the great group at United Street Machines.
LO Police Chief Jerry Narsh added, ‘most importantly, the folks in Lake Orion who came out with a classic car to show or visited with a donation. You guys make Lake Orion the perfect snapshot of what America really is.?
