A resident on Bay Pointe Dr. reported that two unknown males stole his 17-foot canoe around 3:45 a.m.
Suspicious vehicle seen on Glaspie.
Police assisted a citizen on S. Washington Rd. with a disabled vehicle.
An administrator at Oxford High School reported a fist fight that occurred between two students – one 15, the other 16 years old.
Officers helped a resident with a lockout in the southeast quadrant parking lot.
Transformer fire at Metamora and E. Oakwood roads.
An 80-year-old resident on Laurel Leah claimed that someone hit her home with their vehicle and fled the scene. The responding officer noticed a white van in the woman’s driveway with damage to the front bumper. The woman stated that she has hit the home in the past, but she did not do it this time.

Wednesday, August 27
Suspicious vehicle seen on Glaspie.
Medical emergency on W. Romeo Rd.
Authorities cared for a resident who came into the Oxford Village Police Station after having seizures in the back parking lot.
Medical emergency on W. Drahner Rd.
A resident reported two dogs fighting on W. Burdick St.

Thursday, August 28
Family trouble between a father and stepson on Oxford Lakes Dr.
Abandoned auto found at the intersection of Lakeville Rd. and Glaspie.
A citizen called 911 after his vehicle “broke down and no one would him” on W. Oakwood Rd.
Medical emergency at Addison Oaks Park.
Police assisted a motorist on W. Burdick St. with a disabled vehicle.
Medical emergency on S. Lapeer Rd.

Friday, August 29
Neighbor Trouble – a resident on Pontiac St. claimed a nearby neighbor dumped concrete in their yard. Also stated that the neighbor allowed their dog to “dump” in the yard.
Medical emergency on Tanview.
Police received a complaint about where a local business owner was parking her vehicle. The citizen filing the parking complaint stated that handicapped and elderly individuals were “forced to walk long distances to get to businesses.” Police investigated the situation and found the owner to be properly parked.
Medical emergency on W. Drahner Rd.
A resident on Dennison St. complained about a neighbor’s dog barking in its kennel.
Police investigating a report of disorderly conduct found a man and woman engaged in a verbal dispute at the intersection of Broadway and Glaspie streets.

Saturday, August 30
Suspicious vehicle seen on S. Washington Rd.
A suspicious vehicle seen on Pontiac St. turned out to be a bus parked behind Oxford Elementary School with the doors left open.
Medical emergency on Heddy Rd.
A sheriff’s deputy arrested a 46-year-old Oxford female for an outstanding warrant, reckless driving and a probation violation after she was seen driving recklessly along M-24 and collided with a yellow Escort at the intersection of M-24 and Drahner Rd.
Medical emergency on Augusta.
Stolen bicycle reported on Ensley.
A mail carrier filed an animal complaint about a chow running loose in the village.
A suspicious circumstance around Bay Pointe Dr. and Whispering Winds turned out to be a man and his son scuba diving in the lake.
A 40-year-old Oxford Twp. man was charged with driving with a suspended license and not having a driver’s license on his person after a sheriff’s deputy stopped him for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.

Sunday, August 31

Family trouble between a mother and daughter in the Crawford Apartments.
Medical emergency on Market St.
A resident on S. Washington Rd. complained to authorities because a light from the an attorney’s office across the road was shining in his window.
Medical emergency on W. Drahner Rd.
911 call about fireworks on Harwood.
Suspicious person seen on S. Washington Rd.

Monday, September 1
The 911 dispatcher received several calls from the same address and would receive a busy signal upon call back. Officers learned that the calls were from a resident on Oakmont Dr. who was attempting to hook up and program a computer.
Medical emergency on Market St.
An 18-year-old Tanview resident reported a suspicious circumstance after finding egg on her car. The young lady said that she was unsure who did it, but suspected someone she knows.

Celebrating its Annual Road Beautification Project Spring Clean Up, Oxford Township is asking for volunteers to collect the debris that has accumulated along Oxford’s roads. Bags will be provided the day of the project at the drop-off site Stony Lake Park, 1395 Lapeer Road (M-24 North of Oxford) at 8:30 a.m. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served at the Stony Lake picnic pavilion from 8:30 a.m. ? 3:00 p.m. for the workers.
