McLaren ribbon cutting

After a four month closure, McLaren Oakland celebrated its new Clarkston Emergency Center with a ribbon cutting, Feb. 15.
McLaren’s ER, on Bow Pointe Drive off Sashabaw Road, offers 24-hour care with an emergency center.
The center features 20 patient treatment areas, including 14 private exam rooms, a cardiac monitoring room and a clinical isolation room.
It replaces a smaller McLaren Clarkston Health Center on Dixie Highway just north of White Lake Road.
‘We’re excited to bring this level of care and service to the Clarkston community,? said Chad Grant, president and chief executive officer of McLaren Oakland, which will own and operate the emergency center. ‘Our focus will be on delivering excellent service and high quality emergency care, provided by the same experienced emergency physicians that staff some of the region’s busiest trauma centers.?
McLaren hired 46 new employees, many of whom are local residents who worked at Clarkston Urgent Care.
‘We are increasing staffing to ensure we are prepared to care for any patient that arrives, day or night,? added Grant.
McLaren’s new facility expands clinical services offerred at the Clarkston Health Care Village campus, includings physical therapy and sports medicine center, breast center, sleep center, wound care center, laboratory draw station, surgery center, bariatric surgery center and comprehensive cancer center.
