Lake Orion’s boys? swimming and diving team are the OAA White Division champions for only the third time in school history.
The division championship meet was held last week at Lake Orion over a two-day period for teams from Farmington Hills Harrison, Rochester, Stoney Creek, Berkley, Royal Oak and Lake Orion, who are all part of the OAA White Division.
The Dragons finished second in the meet to Harrison but won the league title by virtue of a 5-0 conference record and a 9-1 season record. Harrison took second in the league.
Coach John Jess? team had five swimmers that made all-conference. They are Zahir Selem in the 200 freestyle; Zac Seeds in the 200 individual medley; Alex Parry in diving; Evan Lindquist in the 100 butterfly and Tanner Robertson in the 500 freestyle.
Swimmers obtaining state cuts during the meet were Selem and Robertson in the 200 freestyle; Selem and Lindquist in the 100 butterfly and the Dragon’s 200 and 400 freestyle relays teams also are in the state meet. It till be held at the Holland Aquatic Center in Holland.

Lake Orion went 5-0 in the conference dual meet this season and 9-1 overall. They beat non-conference teams Troy Athens, Clarkston, Notre Dame Prep, and Detroit Country Day and lost to Troy.
