Paint Creek Elementary School kindergarten teacher Sally (Papzian) Shepherd was wondering how she would be able to get her classroom ready for the start of school this year after construction kept her from entering it early. Shepherd sent the word out to parents of some of her former students that she could use some help, and five sophomores from Lake Orion High School responded to the call: Melissa Helberg, Melissa Hamilton, Lisa Carroll, Michael Carroll (not pictured) and Becky Hendriksen (not pictured). The students earned community service hours by helping Shepherd get her room ready and they created this Spongebob Squarepants mural for her young students to enjoy.
