Orion Township millage rates for 2003 (to be collected in 2003 with the money to be used in 2004) were set by the board of trustees on Sept. 15.
The new millage rates for 2003 are .9474 mills for the general fund, .9863 mills for the fire fund, 1.9303 mills for the police fund, and .2422 mills for the safety paths. The total mills for 2003 are 4.1062, which treasurer James Marleau said at the meeting are lower than the rates for last year.
