The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of threats and intimidation at The Gym on Lapeer Road on Oct. 3.
According to an OCSD report, a 49-year-old Heights Road woman was asked to leave after she caused a scene. The woman did not run her membership card through a scanner correctly and was asked to run it through again, when she became upset and began swearing.
According to the report, children were nearby in the gym’s day care room, and the woman was asked to leave and then swore again as she was leaving.
The gym owner reported getting a call about an hour later from the woman’s husband, who said he had “touched” his wife and that if he ever did again he would regret it. The man told the owner he would be at the gym at a certain time.
The owner was advised by the OCSD to call them if the man showed up at the gym.
