Sophomore Tom Voyer was the main bright spot for the Brandon boys golf team at the Oct. 6 Flint Metro League meet.
Voyer shot an 89 to pace the Blackhawks at the meet, held at Sugarbush Golf Course in Davison. As a team, Brandon finished seventh out of seven teams at the meet with a team score of 370.
Lapeer West won the league title by finishing first at the meet with a score of 339. Fenton finished second (346) and Linden third (354).
Jeff Carroll (92) was next for Brandon, followed by Drew Barr (93).
On Oct. 1 at the Goodrich Country Club, the Brandon boys golf team completed their Flint Metro regular season, dropping a meet to Oxford 160-176 to finish with a 1-5 record in the league.
Josh Barr led the Blackhawks with a round of 42, followed by Will Hubbard and Voyer (44 apiece) and Brad MacIntyre (46).
