Goodrich’s girls tennis season officially wrapped up their season with regional competition Oct. 10.
The Martians? #1 singles player, Meredith Mayberry, as well as their #1 doubles team of Katie Krafcik and Rachel Samuelson, advanced as far as the regional semifinals before being eliminated.
Krafcik and Samuelson are among five seniors graduating from this year’s team. The other three are Kirsten Simoni, Rebekah Jorgenson and Jackie von Linsowe.
With seven players returning next year, Goodrich coach Renee Hand said they will benefit from this year’s experience.
‘I thought, overall, the season went pretty good ? we grew as a team,? she said. ‘I’m sure we’ll have some new girls come out, and the new girls this year will be the base for next year.?
