David Alan Hudson, 38, of Pontiac, was convicted Tuesday in Oakland County Circuit Court of the April 18 armed robbery of the Heckle & Jeckle Party Store in downtown Oxford.
Hudson will be sentenced on Tuesday, Nov. 18 before Judge Nanci Grant. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison.
His partner in the robbery, Leonard resident Justin Cochran, 18, pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery and testified against Hudson at his trial, according to village Police Chief Mike Neymanowski.
At Tuesday’s council meeting, Oxford Village President Steve Allen said the conviction “shines well on the court system as well as the follow-up work done by the police department.”
