Oxford resident and sex offender Robert Basat, 50, was sentenced to 50-80 years in prison Friday by Oakland Circuit Court Rudy Nichols
Following a week-long trial, Basat was convicted in September of five counts of first-degree and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and possessing child pornography.
Basat lured young boys into sexual encounters by claiming he would die without their help.
