OAYA sponsors parent dialogue series

Oxford-Addison Youth Assistance is sponsoring a five-part parent dialogue series entitled “The Gift of Being Welcomed (TGBW).
The series will be facilitated by Richard Chakrin, who holds a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and is the father of two grown children.
For the past seven years Chakrin has facilitated many parent education classes in a variety of settings. He teaches classes on non-violence for Wayne State’s Center for Peace and Conflict Studies.
The first session of the TGBW series is free and scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Oxford High School library.
The first session will consist of an introduction and overview of the program and provide parents with basic information to improve family relationships without completion of the entire program.
Free child care will be provided to those who enroll in the program. To register call 969-1815.
