Please, no increases

The City of Detroit is going to hear from Orion Township trustees. They’re asking for a moratorium on any increases in Detroit water and sewer charges for 2004-05.
Their request is in response to a plea by John McClulloch, Oakland County’s Drain Commissioner, to all communities who have Detroit water.
The Detroit City Council is conducting a public hearing on the issue on Feb. 4.
McClulloch is an active participant in the Water Quality Consortium for Southeast Michigan, a group of civic and governmental leaders assembled by US District Judge John Feikens to address all issues related to water quality — including rate disclosures and the rate formulation process.
