Public hearings for a pair of Department of Natural Resources grants the Village of Oxford is pursuing will be held at council’s Tuesday, March 9 meeting.
Last week it was reported the public hearings would take place during the Tuesday, Feb. 10 council meeting.
However, the village administration’s failure to file the necessary public notices at least 15 days in advance of the meeting meant the hearings could not be held Feb. 10, according to village Clerk Rose Bejma.
The village is pursuing a $200,000 DNR grant to build a ramp park and a $50,000 DNR grant for playground redevelopment/expansion. Both projects would take place at Scripter Park.
