The Addison Township Board of Trustees voted unanimously to not renew Addison Township’s membership in the North Oakland County Household Hazardous Waste Interlocal Agreement, thereby saving $2,899.54 in membership fees.
Board trustee John Sutphin informed the board that few residents used the program this past year. Also, he found that the program did not accept many of the hazardous wastes township residents wished to discard.
Sutphin recommended for township officials to find another method of disposing hazardous wastes for township residents. One suggestion was to speak with Orion Township about a possible partnership.
