A baby was left alone in a vehicle at the Old Navy store on Baldwin Road on Feb. 11.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s report, a 34-year-old Troy woman left her one-year-old daughter unattended in her mini-van while she shopped for half an hour in the Old Navy store. Deputies observed that the infant was sleeping in a snowmobile-type outfit and was locked in the van. The temperature was 25 degrees with a wind chill of 16.
The woman said she’d only been shopping a few minutes, but witnesses in the store said it was closer to half an hour.
