North Oakland Right to Life is sponsoring a high school oratory contest 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3 at the Independence Township Fire Hall’s training room (located on Citation Drive off M-15 in Clarkston).
Students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to win up to $100 and go on to state and national competitions to win up to $1,000.
Applicants choose one of the following topics – abortion, infanticide, cloning or embryonic stem cell research.
Oral presentations should be 5-7 minutes in length.
Deadline for application is March 19.
Resource material can be obtained from the public library, crisis pregnancy center, hospice, or Oakland County Educational Resource Center.
