Employees at Orion Township Hall have asked the board of trustees to allow them to donate some of their accrued sick/personal time to a fellow employee.
Wendy Stiller is employed in the Public Works Department, and her husband was recently hospitalized and will be there for several weeks.
Employees wanted to donate their time so Stiller, who has no sick/personal time available, can spend time with her husband.
Stiller has vacation available but is expecting her first child in May. The board of trustees voted to approve the request, with the time period being 90 days and that each employee may donate up to, but no more than, five days of their accrued, but unused sick/personal time.
