Downtown Goodrich will come alive with Christmas from 5-9 p.m., Dec. 1.
‘Start the season out right with a trip to Goodrich’s Downtown Christmas,? said Patty Plant, owner of Cranberries Cafe, 10250 Hegel Road, downtown Goodrich. ‘From street vendors to Christmas Carols to the lighting of the village tree’downtown is the place to gather on Dec. 1. Stop over at Cranberries Cafe and enjoy some great live music or to warm up before all the festivities downtown.?
Visitors will hear the story of Christmas at the Goodrich Library read by long-time Goodrich High School teacher Bill Duso (6:45 p.m.), sing along with Goodrich United Methodist Church Pastor Jeremy Africa at the village Christmas Tree and the church choir or take a free wagon ride offered by Top-Hill Farms, 5767 Fox Lake Road, Goodrich.
Bernadette Jacobs, owner of The B. Hive, 10240 Hegel Road will have the doors open to her village business in downtown Goodrich.
‘Stop by and check out some of the local artists and their products,? said Jacobs. ‘Jewelry, art or handbags’find that unique Christmas gift locally.?
The streets will be lined with luminaries courtesy of the Goodrich Boy Scout Troop 340 or The Friends of the Library will be hosting a book sale upstairs at the Goodrich Libary.
Santa Claus will park his sleigh and catch a ride on the Atlas Township Fire Department truck arriving at the village Christmas Tree at 6:15’to greet both good and bad of Goodrich.
