The end of summer means only one thing in Orion–Barn Daze!
The annual festival comes to Friendship Park on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friendship Park is located on the corner of Clarkston and Baldwin roads in Orion Township.
The event will have all the favorites folks look forward to like the Orion Chamber Chili Challenge, Hay Wagon Rides, inflatables, a petting farm, farm fresh produce and much more.
According to Jennifer Vezina, program supervisor for the township parks and rec department, there may even be a few surprises.
‘We always want to have something new,? she said, though she wouldn’t let on what it willl be this year. ‘It should be a surprise,? she added.
Vezina said the event is a great way to spend the day with your family.
‘It’s a whole day event that’s inexpensive,? she said. ‘It’s a good ‘stay’vacation.?
There is a parking fee of $5 per car and $15 for a bus.
Sponsors for this year’s event include The Lake Orion Review and Ad-Vertiser, IBEX Insurances, Buffalo Wild Wings, SCAT Party Tent and Supply, Oxford Bank, Pee Wee Patch, Stephan Auger & Associates Architects Inc. and ITC Transmission.
