Want to see a Blackhawk helicopter up close and personal? Then head on out to the Addison Township Fire Department’s open house from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Fire Station #1 (4026 Forest St.) in Leonard.
Weather permitting, the military chopper, being flown in by National Guardsmen, will arrive at 9 a.m. and stay as long as it can, so don’t delay!
Other scheduled events for the open house include a pancake-and-sausage breakfast, fire truck display, fire prevention and safety activities, blood pressure checks and toys for the kids.
Addison’s firefighters and medical responders will be on hand to meet the public and answer questions.
