Atlas Twp.— Goodrich High School’s C.A.R.E.S. Club sponsored a Color Run/Walk this past Sunday, April 16
At 2 p.m., April 16 the Goodrich Middle School C.A.R.E.S. Club sponsored a Color Run/Walk. More than 30 participants participated in a 1.3 mile course which included four color stations to blast the runners with color powder as they passed.
Sponsorships, from the Goodrich alumni, local families and businesses, helped to make this lively event a success by raising more than $700.
The funds support Goodrich High School’s C.A.R.E.S Club, which is a student-led school group that promotes compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy for all students while supporting LGBTQ students and their allies. The club uses the funds to promote a safe and compassionate environment within the school.
Some examples of the club’s good works include free doughnut giveaways for every member of the student body, free “We are all Martians” stickers and other random acts of kindness.
