Calling all Dragons

The Orion Art Center (OAC) wants you to be a part of Dragon on the Lake celebration.
Lake Orion has much to celebrate this year: the village is celebrating 150 years of being a vacation destination and overall nice place to live, and OAC is in its 30th year of service. Now, it invites the community to be a part of their special fall event.
Dragon on the Lake will celebrate the uniqueness of Lake Orion and play off the Legend of the Dragon, so the festival will tie in art, history, a wooden boat show, water activities and of course, the dragon.
Together with many partners including the DDA, Lake Orion Community Schools, Oakland County Parks and Recreation, Orion Township, the Orion Historical Society and many others, they invite residents to share their special stories, memories and talents and make Dragon on the Lake a true community festival – a festival for the community, by the community.
Areas of involvement include:
? Being an artist in the ‘Chalk Challenge? sidewalk painting festival in the municipal lot. Prizes offered to best chalk art.
? Entering a photo into the ‘Images of Summer? photography contest at the OAC. Cash prizes will be awarded.
