The 13th Annual Family Fun Fest at the Community Educational Resource Center (CERC) is April 27, 6-8:30 p.m.
The Family Fun Fest is held in honor of the Month of the Young Child, and is a celebration of the Lake Orion community’s young children and their families.
The fest is open to the public, and geared for ages 0-12 years. Besides providing fun activities, the fest informs the community about the needs of young children, their families and the resources available to them.
Two major components of Family Fun Fest are community agencies and child-center activities. The agencies provide parents with contacts ranging from health services to local park programs.
The local police and fire departments are being asked to attend as well.
Activities include making play dough, face painting, bean bag toss, finger painting, and arts and crafts.
Special activities will be a moon walk and train ride. Popcorn and cotton candy will be served free of charge for children ages 0-12.
Families may purchase a hot dog dinner for $2 per person.
The CERC is located at 455 E. Scripps Road. For more information, call 693-5439.
