BRANDON TOWNSHIP – There is no better way to meet the face behind a business than a business Expo. This year residents will be provided the biggest and best opportunity to meet local business representatives at the 2003 Business Expo.
“This year we are expanding the Expo (to accommodate more businesses),” said Robert Renchik, Expo committee member.
“I think we are going to have a fantastic year.”
Renchik said people are still talking about the success of last year’s sold out event which attracted more than 400 visitors to the Brandon High School cafeteria.
“We’re adding more exhibitor tables, and again we’re expecting a sell out.”
With 60 exhibitors attending the first expo in October 2002, Robert Renchik said the event was a success for local business owners, and predicts that this year the walls of the second expo will be busting at the seams.
With the help of Roger Goodman and his staff, along with the hospitality of more than 16 student council members assisting exhibitor setup, Brandon High School is offering more than 90 exhibitors tables. The additional space will accommodate outdoor seasonal displays including landscaping and bricking.
“Almost everybody involved last year is anxious to get in again because they have realized new customers from the last expo,” said Jackie Nowicki, Expo committee chairperson and The Citizen Advertising Manager.
“It is a great way for businesses to network among one another and for area residents to see what is available to them in their own community. With a year under our belts we’re more experienced.”
Nowicki added that exhibitors will offer promotional products and sell small take home items. For the business owners, quality brochures with ad specials good for 30 days will be available. Deadline for ads specials is April 5. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the evening with a $25 minimum per business.Table space is still available at $100 per table.
Non-chamber members will include a $50 membership fee, which includes a chamber membership for 2003.
“It’s an exciting event for the community,” said Nowicki. “An exciting way to bring businesses into the community so residents doesn’t have to travel away from the area to do business.”
