The Lady Cat Cheerleaders took a hard loss on Jan. 8 after placing eighth with a total of 714 points at the OAA Division meet, which included Rochester Adams, Troy Athens, Clarkston, Lake Orion, Rochester High and Troy High.
Oxford came out strong with a round one score of 224.5, which put them in 8th place by .5. In round two Oxford scored a 205. In round three oxford scored a 281.0.
‘They did a great job and pushed through with the tough competition,? said Head Coach Nicole Curtiss.
The girls however bounced back and took first place at the Royal Oak Invitational on Saturday.
Oxford scored a 220.3 in round one and was tied for first after the first round. In round two Oxford scored a 194.6 and had taken 22nd place behind West Bloomfield by six points. In round three OVC scored a 291.8. They had beaten West Bloomfield and seven other teams with a total score of 705.40.
Their next competition will be Jan. 23 at the Utica Stevenson Invite.
