The Clarkston City Council is considering the formation of a parks commission after the topic was brought up during public comment at the May 28 council meeting.
‘We seem to have a large number of well-meaning individuals working in (Depot Park) and no one is overseeing anything,? said Robyn Johnston, city planning commissioner.
Plans are underway for a bridge to cross the river, the gazebo needs repair, several groups are putting in plants, signage is needed, and the Clarkston Watershed Group is working with University of Michigan students to develop a master plan for the park.
