Clarkston High School senior Anna Kerr and Our Lady of the Lakes High School senior Eric Armstrong were honored on Feb. 6 by the Sashabaw Plains Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
Both Kerr and Armstrong attended a special awards ceremony at Mesquite Creek Restaurant where they were named DAR Good Citizens. Each students received a pin, certificate, wallet card and flower.
Students are selected for the award based on qualities of good citizenship including community involvement and service, leadership, dependability and patriotism.
Both Kerr and Armstrong are eligible to compete at the state and national levels for scholarships.
