Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is collecting used bicycles for people in need.
The Re-CYCLE for Kids program accepts bicycles, bicycle parts, accessories, and tools. Drop off points in the Clarkston area include Oakland County Sheriff substations in Independence Township, 6560 Citation Drive, and Springfield Township, 9075 Big Lake Road in the Columbiere Center.
In its second year, the program has refurbished and given away about 600 bicycles. Call Mandy Andrews, community liaison, at 248-858-1947.
