Morning rush hour traffic on southbound M-15 was slower than usual on March 24 after a minor personal injury crash.
According to Oakland County Sheriff reports, the crash occurred just before 7 a.m. on M-15 just south of Rattalee Lake/Hadley Road.
A Saturn sedan, driven by a 40-year-old Oxford man, rear-ended a Ford pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Ortonville man, reports said. The truck was stopped for the traditional morning backup on that stretch of the state highway.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and the Saturn’s airbags deployed. The Oxford man reported minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.
The offending driver was cited for failing to stop in an assured safe distance, reports said.
