Deputy Report

Drugged driver?
On April 30, at about 6:32 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the area of S. Ortonville and Granger roads for a personal injury accident involving three vehicles. Witnesses told police the driver of the first car was on her cell phone, crossed the centerline and struck a second car head-on. This second vehicle was then hit from behind by a third car. The driver of the first vehicle had constricted pupils, appeared confused, had slurred speech and seemed very tired. There was no odor of intoxicants, but inside the vehicle was an empty Vicodin bottle and she had prescription bottles in her purse for Cymbalta and Xanax. She failed field sobriety tests, was taken to Genesys Hospital for a blood draw and was released pending further investigation.

Bikeless in Brandon
On May 1, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4300 block of Fir for larceny of a lime green Kawasaki motorcycle, model KX250. The owner last saw it the day before. When he returned this date at 3 p.m., it was gone.

Lawn gone
On May 2, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4700 block of Stanton Road. The complainant said an unknown person stole equipment for a lawn business from the back of his son’s truck.

No good
On May 3, at about 8:15 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 800 block of Oakwood Road for a domestic violence report. The complainant heard the neighbors yelling and banging property. On arrival, a female occupant of the apartment from where the trouble was, ran out crying. The woman’s mother and brother arrived at the same time as police. The woman said she arrived home from work and her boyfriend had been drinking. They argued and he grabbed her by the neck. They rolled around on the floor and she tried to get away. The boyfriend told the police not to arrest him, that he was a good person. He smelled strongly of intoxicants and admitted grabbing the woman and wrestling with her. There was a scratch on the woman’s chin and her arms were bruised. The suspect was arrested for domestic violence and taken to the Oakland County Jail.

Game grab
On May 4, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3600 block of Pinoak for a home invasion report. The complainant said between noon on May 2 and noon today’s date, someone broke in and stole two X-Box game systems and a television. The back door had been forced open.

Tool thefts
On April 22, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2900 block of Allen for the breaking and entering of a home under construction. The complainant, a foreman at the site, said when the crew left, all the buildings and tools were secured and locked. He also locked a cable across the drive to prevent unwanted access. A worker arrived today and found the cable cut and garage, main house and office trailer all broken into. The locks had been cut and/or drilled. Stolen were a miter box, table saw, Hilti laser, nail guns, Honda generator, air compressor, belt sander, and framing nailers.
Credit check
On April 25, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4400 block of Butternut for a report of fraud. The complainant said she ran a credit report on herself recently and was advised by Equifax that seven years ago, her ex-husband had used her information to run a credit report. He informed her of this in 2007. Although she was not harmed by his action and he received no financial gain, the Equifax representative advised her that her ex had committed identity fraud by using her personal information without her permission. The report was taken for informational purposes.
Bad delivery
On April 25, a Brandon deputy responded to the 300 block of Lockwood for larceny of a mailbox. The complainant said between 10 p.m. and noon, someone stole his mailbox and wood stand. He has been having vandalism problems lately, with someone spraypainting rock lawn ornaments, cars, and damaging the mailbox. The case has been turned over to the school liaison officer.
In hot water
On April 26, a Brandon deputy responded to the 100 block of E. Glass Road for a report of malicious destruction of property. The complainant said between 3:15 p.m. on April 24 and 3:45 p.m. today, someone entered his property and used the hot tub on his deck while he and his son were up north for the weekend. He found the hot tub cover unfastened, half the water gone and dirt and debris on the bottom. The tub wouldn’t turn on. He also found a red towel nearby he doesn’t recognize.
Two too many
On April 26, at 2:50 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on M-15 near Glass Road saw a Jeep swerving in and out of the fog line and into the yellow centerline. The driver of the Jeep was also following another vehicle very closely and constantly tapping the brakes. He stopped the vehicle near South Street. The driver smelled of intoxicants and when asked if he’d been drinking, he responded that he’d had two beers. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail, where a Data Master test revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .12 percent.
Sail away
On April 26, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2200 block of Allen Road. The complainant said someone stole his 1990 Bluefin 16-foot boat that was stored on a vacant lot used by the area home association. He last saw the boat in May 2008. After checking with a neighbor in the 200 block of W. Seymour Lake Road who has a clear view of the lot, he learned that a neighbor in the 400 block of W. Seymour Lake Road had towed the boat off the lot and sold it. That neighbor was questioned and admitted towing it off. He originally stated he thought the boat belonged to his deceased father, but then said he thought it was abandoned. He said he found the boat registration, but can’t read and write, so he couldn’t read the registration. He reported to the Secretary of State that it was abandoned and then received a new title and registration for it. In November or December, he gave it to a man who owns a Waterford business in return for a pickup truck. He sold the truck and a LEIN check found the boat is currently registered to a Detroit man. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau.

Two too many
On April 10, at 9:45 p.m., a Brandon deputy eastbound on Seymour Lake Road saw a Jeep cross the centerline and weave back and forth several times. The deputy stopped the vehicle on Sashabaw Road south of Seymour Lake Road. The driver smelled strongly of intoxicants and had extreme difficulty locating her license. She said she had two beers at the bar. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed she had a .201 percent blood alcohol content. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Hold on
On April 11, at about 2:24 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 3400 block of S. Hadley Road for a report of fraud. The complainant said he did some work for a Detroit company and was paid with a $5,000 check on December 4, but was asked to hold the check until January. The complainant attempted to cash the check on Feb. 2, but was told their were insufficient funds. He called the company and was told they were no longer in business and he would have to do what he thought was necessary. He called the police. The case is open.
Door jam
On April 11, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3800 block of Apple for a breaking and entering attempt. The complainant said she is moving and returned to the home today to pick up some of her belongings. She saw a muddy footprint on the front door, which was still closed and locked. She found the back door kicked in, with the lockset and frame intact, but the center of the door broken. There was no evidence of entry and nothing was missing. The case is open.
Oh deer
On April 13, at about 4:42 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Ortonville Road saw a vehicle parked on the shoulder with the hazard lights flashing. Debris was in the road, as well as a puddle of vehicle fluid. The driver said she struck a deer, which was nearby and suffering with broken legs. The deputy euthanized the deer.
Plateless
On April 13, a complaint was filed at the Brandon substation for a license plate that was stolen from a GMC van, on or around April 8.
Locked and unloaded
On April 13, a Brandon deputy responded to Village Court for larceny from an auto. The complainant said someone entered his vehicle (which was locked, but had the windows partially rolled down) and stole about 20 various medications, including Vicodin, antidepressants and sleeping pills.
Bad check
On April 14, a Brandon deputy responded to a business in the 3700 block of S. Ortonville Road. The manager said a customer wrote a check in January for $1,679.04 to buy a double oven and microwave. The check was returned as the account was closed. The manager submitted the complaint to the Oakland County Prosecutor Attorney Bad Check Restitution Program, but it was returned because the amount was over $1,000. The case is open.
Alert Bodi
On April 18, at about 6:30 p.m., a Brandon deputy and his K-9 partner, Bodi, responded to Sashabaw and Maybee roads to assist with a traffic stop. Bodi alerted on the center console and the radio/ashtray area of the dashboard, where another deputy had already removed several small bundles of cocaine and several burnt roaches. Bodi also alerted on cash taken from the suspects.
3 out of 4 not good
On April 19, at about 1 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol in the area of Wildwood Loop and Cherry saw multiple youths standing at the corner. They began walking away and he ordered them to stop for further investigation. Three out of the four teens smelled of intoxicants and preliminary breathalyzer tests showed results of .07, .064 and .068, respectively. Two of the subjects were cited for underage consumption of alcohol, while the third was referred to the youth assistance program. A pint of 5 O’Clock vodka was recovered from the playground.
Tool time
On April 19, a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of Corey Court for a larceny complaint. The complainant said between April 4 and 18, an unknown person stole an 18? yellow Stihl chainsaw and 4-gallon yellow Bostach air compressor, each valued at $100, from his garage.

Craig’s List loser
On March 24, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 8000 block of Buckell Road after a report of fraud regarding the internet. A 49-year-old township man reported he intended to purchase a $10,500 Harley Davison motorcycle on Craig’s List. The seller, a Jason Savage living in Washington, agreed to ship the motorcyle to Michigan for $300. The buyer and seller also agreed to have the money wired to eBay’s Vehicle Protection Program located in North Carolina who would release the cash once both parties agreed the motorcyle was delivered in good shape. The FBI was notified after several days passed and the motorcycle was never delivered to the township man. It was later determined the eBay’s Vehicle Protection Program was phoney and the Washington seller, named Savage was also fictitious. The case is still under investigation.
Up on the rooftop
On March 25, a Brandon deputy took a report of theft of roofing materials from a business on South Street. The business owner said sometime between March 3 and March 20, someone stole a partial roll of roofing material from the rooftop. She said other contractors have been working on roofs in the area and believes it possible that one of them took the materials, valued at $400 to $500.
Bad delivery
On March 25, a report was filed at the Brandon substation for suspicious circumstances that occurred on Feb. 22 around 7:30 a.m. The complainant said on that date, he heard a noise and discovered his mailbox destroyed and fresh tire tracks in the snow. There was a new daily newspaper in the neighbor’s mailbox. The complainant contacted the daily newspaper and they refused to replace or repair the mailbox.
CCW missing
On March 26, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a report of a 48-year-old Davisburg man who had his CCW license misplaced. The man alleges that he was stopped by a Holly Police officer and asked for his CCW.
Unplugged
On March 27, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4200 block of Fir for a malicious destruction of property report. The complainant said he’d been working on his car in his driveway for the last few days. On March 24, he left the hood open for most of the day and left home. Today, he opened the hood and found his spark plug wires had been cut.
Alpena wants you
On March 27, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township executed an arrest warrant in the 3000 block of Shady Lane in Brandon Township. Troopers arrested a 49-year-old woman wanted for failure to respond to a larceny complaint in Alpena. She was transported to Standish, Mich., where Alpena police picked her up.
That’s a wrap
On March 29, a Brandon deputy responded to the 1800 block of Glenfield Road. The complainant said between 9 p.m. the prior evening and 9 a.m. today, someone put mustard on her car’s hood, a condom on the antenna, and wrapped the car in plastic wrap.
I spy
On March 30, a Brandon deputy responded to a home in the 2100 block of Quail Run for a breaking and entering from March 27. The complainant is a real estate agent who said the home is a bank foreclosure and is currently unoccupied. Juveniles have been damaging it and a witness saw a teenager that lives nearby walk on to Quail Run. A short time later, the witness heard glass breaking and went to investigate. He found the rear basement sliding glass door to the empty home broken. The case is open.
Plateless
On March 30, a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of Garreston Trail for a report of larceny of a license plate. The complainant said between 10 p.m. on March 28 and 4 p.m. on March 29, someone stole the license plate from his 1993 Dodge pickup truck parked in his driveway.

Trespassing
On March 15, troopers from the Michigan State Police Groveland Post responded to a trespass complaint at the KOA Campground, 7072 E. Grange Hall Road. The complainant said two young males were attempting to access the park’s skate facility to ride bikes. He told them the park was not open and they refused to leave. He asked again and they threatened physical assault against the man, who got their license plate number. The parents of the youth driving the vehicle were contacted and they brought their son to the campground to apologize and then to the state post. The youth was advised of the consequences for trespass and assaultive behavior. He was advised to have no further contact with KOA or the staff.

Goo
On March 16, a trooper from the Michigan State Police Groveland Post responded to the 8400 block of Gail Drive. The complainant said she believed someone had entered her home and ejaculated on her basement steps. She said she had stepped in a gooey fluid on the stairs in her barefeet and said it smells like semen. She recently returned from a 4-day trip to Kentucky. The case is open.

Out to sea
On March 17, a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of Huff Lake Court for a report of larceny. The complainant said the ice on the lake had melted and an unknown person had used a boat and stolen 10 Tommy Docking System poles in the water. The deck had been removed by workers and was on shore to prevent ice damage. She keeps the poles in the water, drilled into sand. She said she has had other thefts that she has not reported, including $3,600 in cash from her purse in November, a necklace from her drawer in January and on Feb. 6, $400 in cash from an envelope on her stairs. She thinks the theft of the dock poles is unrelated, but wants a report for insurance purposes.

Wish fulfillment
On March 18, at 1:32 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle on Ortonville Road near W. Glass Road after the driver pulled out in front of him and without his headlights on. The driver said he left his license at work. He smelled of intoxicants and when the deputy asked how much he’d had to drink, the man said two beers. When the deputy started field sobriety tests, the man said he’d had too much to drink and to just take him to jail. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed the suspect had a blood alcohol content of .213 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.

Witnessed
On March 19, at about 2:52 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Groveland Post responded to the 1300 block of Thayer Road. The complainant said he was outside saying goodbye to his girlfriend when he heard a noise near his neighbor’s house. He saw two individuals run to a dark-colored Grand Prix. The complainant ran after them, but was unable to open the locked door. He advised his neighbor two suspects may have been in the man’s vehicle and the neighbor confirmed that two chrome speakers valued at $150, as well as a radio/tv/vcr valued at $200 was taken.

Warranted
On March 19, at about 5:18 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Groveland Post responded to the 14000 block of Dixie Highway to arrest a man on four outstanding contempt of court warrants. The suspect was taken to the Holly Police Department, then transported to the Oakland County Jail.

Not amicable
On March 19, a complaint was filed at the Michigan State Police Groveland Post. The complainant said at about 8:30 p.m. on March 5, he drove to a business parking lot in the 400 block of Ortonville Road to exchange his minor child to his ex-wife. The man said his ex-wife jumped out of her vehicle and held his door open, screaming at him. He shut the door and put the car in drive and she got in front of the vehicle, threatening that she would show cause for him violating a personal protection order. The complainant wanted the incident documented because he has filed a motion to terminate the PPO.

Hit and run
On March 19, a man contacted Michigan State Police troopers from the Groveland Post to report he was in a hit and run accident on the ramp from southbound I-75 to Dixie Highway. The man said after he checked the damage and found it minimal, he reentered his vehicle to get his insurance information and while he was doing so, the other driver left the scene.

Bogus
On March 19, a walk-in complaint was taken at the Brandon substation. The complainant said she was selling bar stools on the internet and during the sale, got two bogus checks from a buyer. The complainant was out nothing, but wanted the report since the fraudulent buyer has her address.

Undercover
On March 19, Brandon deputies went to a home in the 4300 block of Wildwood Loop to arrest a man who had a warrant for his arrest on a marijuana charge from Brighton, a failure to appear in court warrant from 52-3 District Court and a Friend of the Court warrant out of Oakland County. The suspect escaped out a back window and fled on foot. The deputies returned a half-hour later and the suspect again fled on foot. The deputies returned a third time under cover of darkness and took the suspect into custody under threat of being tasered. The suspect was taken to the Oakland County Jail.

Not so pretty
On March 20, a Brandon deputy responded to a business in the 900 block of S. Ortonville Road to take a report of larceny from an auto. The business owner said four beauty center rims and one exterior power mirror with a value of $900 were stolen from a vehicle.

Unsure
On March 21, at 10:50 p.m., a Brandon deputy was dispatched to find a suspected drunk driver who crashed on Grange Hall Road, then fled the scene east on Oakwood Road. The suspect’s vehicle was severely damaged, sparking and leaving a trail of fluid. The witnesses to the accident followed the suspect until his vehicle became completely disabled on Oakwood Road near State Park Road. The deputy found the driver and asked him what was wrong. The suspect’s reply was that he was ‘not sure.? He smelled of intoxicants and a preliminary breathalyzer test showed he had a blood alcohol content of .178 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated, second offense, taken to the hospital for a blood draw and then to the Oakland County Jail. The case is open pending a prosecutor review.

Tuna and mustard
On March 21, a Brandon deputy responded to the 300 block of E. Glass Road. The complainant said someone damaged her vehicle, using what appeared to be mustard to write a profanity on the hood and also throwing tunafish on it.

Crotchpot
On March 10, at 9:04 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Oakhill near Redbud stopped a vehicle with a defective taillight. The driver said he didn’t have a driver’s license, it was suspended. The deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana and asked the driver when he had smoked it. The driver responded he had smoked marijuana about an hour ago. He was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs and taken to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital for a blood draw. On the way, the suspect told the deputy he had a bag of marijuana in his crotch. At the hospital, a bag with about 3 grams of marijuana was removed from the suspect’s crotch area. He was taken to the Oakland County Jail. The suspect has eight current license suspensions and two driver’s responsibility suspensions, as well as a possession of marijuana conviction from 1999 in Indiana. The case is open.
Troubled kids?
On March 11, a Brandon deputy responded to the home on Village Court for a report of breaking and entering. The complainant said sometime between March 8 and 11, someone entered her home and stole two rings, with values of $1,200, and $10,000 respectively, as well as two prescription bottles that contained six Vicodin pills and six Darvocet pills. She said her son had a sleepover March 7 and that’s why the house was a mess. The complainant’s son’s two young friends knew he and his mother would be gone for three days. When questioned, one boy admitted entering the home, but said he was inside ‘just for a few minutes? and left without doing anything. The other boy denied being in the home. Seven empty vodka bottles were found on the floor, as well as cigarette butts and cigarette packs. The mothers of the suspected boys refused to allow their sons to take preliminary breathalyzer tests. The case is open.
Warranted
On March 13, a Brandon deputy on patrol at Dogwood and Birch saw a suspect who had a warrant out for his arrest on a charge of operating while intoxicated, third offense. He was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Rollin,? rollin,? rollin?
On March 13, at about 5:45 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Hemlock Loop near Dogwood passed a parked vehicle with three occupants. As the deputy returned and exited the patrol car, he saw the driver put something under his seat. The passenger rolled his window down and the deputy saw a very small amount of green, leafy substance on the driver’s pants, along with rolling papers. He also saw a plastic bag sticking out of the driver’s pocket and when he pulled the bag out, discovered it contained about 3 grams of marijuana. Neither passenger had any contraband. The driver was cited for possession of marijuana and released.
Deadbeat
On March 13, at about 7:15 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 1800 block of Kent Road to arrest a suspect on a valid Friend of the Court warrant. The suspect initially refused to come out, but did so when a Taser was pointed at him. He was taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Dirt Devil daughter-in-law
On March 14, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4300 block of Wildwood Loop. The complainants had rented their mobile home to their son and his wife. The couple separated a month ago, but the daughter-in-law stayed in the mobile home. The complainants contacted her about being two months behind on the rent and then discovered today she’d moved and taken the complainants? refrigerator, washer, dryer and Dirt Devil vacuum with her.
Firebugs
On March 15, at 2:30 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol observed a vehicle leaving Brandon Middle School, 609 S. Ortonville Road. The driver appeared ready to turn south on to M-15, but when he saw the deputy, he turned north instead. The deputy stopped the vehicle on South Street near Mill Street and during the stop, heard dispatch send a deputy to a school in Clarkston for a Dumpster fire. The deputy noticed an odor of intoxicants from the vehicle and asked the driver if he or his two passengers had been drinking. They answered no and passed sobreiety tests. When asked why they were at the school, the driver said they were carpooling with a friend. The driver and one passenger said they were from Waterford, and the other passenger said he was from White Lake. When asked why they were in Brandon, they couldn’t give a reasonable answer. The deputy instructed them to drive back to the middle school and he followed. Upon arrival, the deputy found a large Dumpster on fire at the back of the school parking lot. The fire department was called, as well as an arson investigator, who interviewed the three suspects, who admitted to starting the fire. The case is open pending further investigation.
Slammed
On March 16, at about 5:42 p.m., a Brandon deputy was on patrol on South Street near Ortonville Road when a motorcyclist pulled up next to him. The motorcyclist informed the deputy that a man in a blue minivan in the party store parking lot behind them had just slammed a beer and threw the bottle out the window. As they continued talking, the van pulled out and headed north on Ortonville Road. The plate on the van came back to another vehicle and the deputy stopped the van on M-15 just north of South Street. The driver smelled of intoxicants and when asked how much he’d had to drink, he said he’d had a few beers earlier and one shot of whiskey much earlier. A 40-ounce open beer and open Canadian Club were also in the vehicle. The suspect said he must have mixed up the plates. A preliminary breathalyzer test on the man showed he had a blood alcohol content of .123 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated, taken to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital for a blood draw and then taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Hide and seek
On March 16, at about 9:30 p.m., Brandon deputies went to the 3100 block of Oakwood Road to pick up a suspect on a felony warrant for operating while intoxicated. As one deputy knocked on the door, the other deputy saw the suspect who had been sitting on the couch run to the bedroom and shut the door. The man’s father answered the door and allowed the deputies in. They found the suspect hiding in the bedroom, on the floor between a bed and the wall. He told the deputies to be easy on him, his neck was broken in three spots. He was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Be right back
On March 16, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a missing person call. At about 3:15 a.m., a lady called and said her 77-year-old husband got up from bed and went to the kitchen to have a snack. When he did not return, she went to look for him and discovered their car was missing. She contacted troopers who reported the missing car. He was found at 10:30 a.m. in an accident near Albion, Mich. The man was not allowed to drive due to a stroke he previously suffered. The man was taken to an Albion hospital.

Pained
On Feb. 27, a Brandon deputy took a report in the 4300 block for larceny. The complainant said her brother-in-law, who was helping fix plumbing in the home, had stolen prescription pain medication from an unlocked toolbox. She did not see him take the medication.
Going to pot
On March 2, Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies from Atlas Township responded to Maple Road just East of Vassar Road to a vehicle in the ditch. According to the deputies, the driver lost control of his car after hitting several potholes in the roadway. There were no injuries.
Tool time
On March 3, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2900 block of Seymour Lake Road for a breaking and entering report. The complainant said he discovered that someone entered his equipment pole barn and stole numerous hand and power tools. The case is open.
I’ll find you
On March 5, Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies from Atlas Township responded to the 8500 block of Perry Road of a registered sex offender living in the Atlas Township area that did not report an address change.
Text trouble
On March 5, a walk-in complaint was filed at the Brandon substation. The complainant said she had received text messages with sexual content from a Chicago phone number. She believes the messages came from a porter that handled her luggage the day before at the Chicago O’Hare Airport. She said he had her personal information from a luggage tag and would also have her credit card information, since she used it to pay him. The victim’s fiance called the number back and instructed the person to not call or text again.
New truck mayhem
On March 5, at 8:28 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to a car fire and found a 2008 Chevy Colorado truck burning on the east side of Ortonville Road, a quarter-mile north of Oakhill Road. The driver said he’d been having trouble with the 2-week-old truck, with a blower fan acting up, and was en route to the dealership when the windshield washers started spraying. A short time later, the passenger air bag exploded and the cab filled with powder. As he approached Oakhill Road, there was a flash near the heater controls and smoke started coming out of the defroster ducts. He coasted to the east side of the road as flames appeared in the dashboard and called 9-1-1.
Liar, liar
On March 9, at about 6 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle that passed another vehicle at the intersection of Sashabaw and Oakhill roads. After being asked for his driver’s license and registration, the driver searched several areas in the vehicle and in a backpack before saying the vehicle wasn’t his. The deputy detected the odor of burnt marijuana and asked the man if there was any marijuana in the vehicle. The suspect said there was not and that the deputy could search the vehicle. The deputy asked the man when he last smoked marijuana, to which the man replied that he doesn’t smoke marijuana. He then admitted he smoked a joint at about 4 p.m., after he left work. The deputy found two large buds of marijuana in the suspect’s backpack, as well as rolling papers and a pipe in the console. The man was arrested for possession of marijuana and operating under the influence of drugs. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, then to the Oakland County Jail. A criminal history check revealed the man was arrested for delivery/manufacturing of marijuana in July 2007.
Drinking and driving
On March 9, at 8:34 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on South Street clocked a vehicle at 39 mph in a 25 mph zone. The deputy accelerated to catch up to the vehicle, which turned west on Mill Street without signaling, then turned north on Cedar Street, also without signaling. The deputy activated his emergency lights and the vehicle finally stopped in a driveway in the 400 block of Schoolhouse Street. The driver smelled of intoxicants and admitted drinking ‘five or six beers? on the way home from work in Detroit. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed the man had a blood alcohol content of .155 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the hospital for a blood draw, then to the Oakland County Jail.
Walking the walk
On March 10, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the Rose Hill Center following a report of a missing patient. The missing 27-year-old man, a known schizophrenic who cannot survive on his own, was reported missing at about 3:30 p.m. A Michigan State Police helicopter was dispatched from Lansing since the Oakland County Sheriff helicopter was not flying that day. The helicopter used infrared scanners over rough terrain and swampy areas, but could not locate the missing man. The man was eventually picked up walking along the road a few hours later and returned to Rose Hill Center.

Taking care of business
On Feb. 24, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a report of a trucker overdue from a trip between Ohio and Reese, Mich. Troopers found the 51-year-old driver asleep in his truck near the intersection of I-75 and Grange Hall Road. The driver told troopers he stopped for two days in Detroit to take care of business while enroute from Ohio. Troopers contacted the trucking company and sent a driver to complete the trip. The driver was terminated.
Feeding time
On Feb. 24, at 9:35 a.m., Genesee County Sheriff deputies from Atlas Township responded to the 11000 block of Coolidge Road to investigate the welfare of horses and several other animals. The animal control unit along with a veterinarian were on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
Ride choice
On Feb. 24, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3800 block of Redbud Lane for a registered sex offender who failed to verify his address during the January verification period. The subject, who has no job and doesn’t go to school, said he had no driver’s license and called everyone he could find for a ride, to no avail. A Clemis check revealed that he somehow found a ride to a pawnshop in Waterford to pawn an Apple iPod, but couldn’t make it to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office to verify his address. He was given a misdemeanor ticket for failure to verify his address as a registered sex offender.
Lost
On Feb. 25, a Brandon deputy responded to the 100 block of Harbor Pointe. The complainant said between 8:30 p.m. and 7 a.m., someone entered the two parked vehicles in his driveway, taking a Garmin GPS unit from each vehicle, as well as a Cobra radar detector and a cell phone charger.
Candy?
On Feb. 26, at about 9 a.m. Genesee County Sheriff Deputies from Atlas Township advised Goodrich School officials that a suspicious white male approximately 40- to 50-years-old, driving a white midsize 4-door vehicle attempted to lure school aged children into a vehicle in the Theatford and Davison Township area on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to deputies the man had a short beard, possibly a goatee, balding on top.
Family jewels
On Feb. 26, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Hampshire Street after a report from the 79-year-old female resident that five rings were missing from her bedroom. The estimated value exceeded $10,000.
Checked out
On Feb. 26, a walk-in complaint was made at the Brandon substation. The complainant said in July she received new checks in the mail. She recently requested copies of all her written checks from the bank and learned that her ex-boyfriend, who lived with her last summer, took one of the checks, filled it out to himself, forged her signature and cashed it for $1,000.
Snowbound
On Feb. 27 Genesee County Sheriff Deputies from Atlas Township arrested a 48-year-old white male from Gaines Mich. following a traffic stop near the intersection of State and Hill roads for possession of cocaine. The man also had two warrants for driving while license suspended and public order crimes.
Overbilled
On Feb. 27, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4400 block of Dogwood for a report of credit card fraud. The complainant said he called the 24-hour hotline for his credit card company after he was unable to find his statement and learned that his card had a balance over $7,000 when it should have been only $21. The case is open.
Warranted
On March 2, at about 11:15 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of Granger Road to verify the return of a runaway. He verified the teen had returned, then arrested her father, who had a felony warrant out for his arrest from Pontiac for four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct. The man was turned over to the Pontiac police.

Sorry
On Feb. 14, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 6000 block of Perryville Road after a report of trespassing. When troopers arrived, the homeowner said his teenaged daughter’s ex-boyfriend was hanging out in his parked car near their home drinking beer with a friend. The homeowner asked him to leave and he did. The next day the ex-boyfriend called the man and apologized for his behavior. The man wanted the apology documented since he was a young man once and had many brushes with the law in his youth.
No drinking, no smoking
On Feb. 15, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township pulled over a motorist in the 14000 block of Dixie Highway. The vehicle swerved lanes and had a damaged taillight. The driver of the car was 17-years-old and had a lighted cigarette in his hand. The trooper reported the driver was irritated with the troopers and made short and flippant responses to the troopers? questions. After a search of the car, troopers found 12 unopened Budweiser beers. The underage driver was ticketed for minor in possession of alcohol, minor in possession of tobacco, and improper lane usage. The beer was dumped out and the trooper confiscated the youth’s cigarettes. The youth asked for his cigarettes back, explaining other police departments gave them back to him.
Absent and drunk
On Feb. 16, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 15000 block of Oakhollow Drive for a civil matter. The homeowner, a 35-year-old female, reported her boyfriend was drunk and kicking the front door of her home. She told troopers the boyfriend, a 39-year-old Holly man, should have been in an alcohol treatment program, however, he was not going since he drank two fifths of vodka the night before. She told the boyfriend he could stay, but it would have to be on the front porch of the home. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed the man had a blood alcohol content of .42. He was taken to an area hospital.
Robbed
On Feb. 17, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 1600 block of Jossman Road for a report of a breaking and entering. The resident told troopers she left home at 7:15 a.m. and returned about 1:15 p.m. to find drawers and closet doors open in the home. Several items were missing. The suspects gained access through a service door.
Wanted
On Feb. 20, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a business in the 1500 block of Ortonville Road after a report of a wanted felon there. A 22-year-old man was arrested and taken to jail for a non-moving violation. Bond was set at $2,000.
Run for the border
On Feb. 21, at about 1:28 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on southbound Ortonville Road stopped a vehicle after observing it make a u-turn and accelerate to 61 mph in a 50 mph zone. An odor of perfume or cologne was emitting from the vehicle. The driver said he’d had three tall beers. When asked where he was going that he made a u-turn, the man said he was heading for Taco Bell, but realized it was closed. The deputy informed him it was still open. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed the man had a blood alcohol content of .201. He was cited for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Daughter unwelcome
On Feb. 22, a Brandon deputy responded to the 5600 block of Hummer Lake Road for a building check. The homeowner was away and her friend was feeding her dogs and cats while she was gone and found a Jeep in the driveway. The friend told her it was her daughter, but the homeowner wanted a building check because her daughter did not have permission to be there. The deputy found several beer cans in the front yard and met with the daughter and her friend. They said no one else was at the home, but when the deputy informed her the house would be searched with a K-9, she admitted her boyfriend was hiding upstairs. The owner was notified.
PPO violation
On Feb. 22, a walk-in complaint was made at the Brandon substation. The complainant said she has a personal protection order against a man, but he has called her cell phone and left several messages and visited her last week at her place of work. Because of his continued activity, she was fired from her job. In one of the phone messages, the man said he knew he was in violation of the PPO, but he needed to talk to her. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Wild party
On Feb. 24, at about 12:01 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of Candace Court for larceny. The complainant said a laptop and television were stolen from the home and an assault occurred. He said he had a party and two people he didn’t know had a fight. He went to the basement and when he came back upstairs, he saw a guy leaving with the television. Another witness confirmed the television was taken and gave a license plate number. He said he noticed his $1,400 Toshiba laptop gone later. Witness statements were conflicting and the complainant was uncooperative. The house was dirty, with broken tables, beer cans, and garbage throughout. A bedroom door was also broken. The suspect vehicle was not located. The case is open.

Hand jive
On Feb 3, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a report of harassment from a Goodrich man while traveling on I-75. The man told troopers that he was near Sashabaw Road when a male suspect came up from behind him and tailgated. The suspect made obscene gestures at the Goodrich man. The suspect changed lanes and came up alongside the Goodrich man, who returned the obscene gesture. At that point the Goodrich man said the suspect pointed a small black object at him. Troopers interviewed the suspect, who said he was not being obscene, rather was talking on his cell phone and often talks with his fingers’thus he was not pointing a gun at the Goodrich man. The male suspect added that while he had two registered handguns in the car with him at the time, he did not point them at the Goodrich man.
Runaway
On Feb 10, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 1900 block of Woodsman Dr. after a report of a runaway 15-year-old boy. The mother of the youth said he was found walking down M-15 away from home. The older son of the mother was sent to get him, however he refused to get out of the car when he returned to the house. Troopers talked with the parents and boy regarding better communication skills.
Ready set charge
On Feb 10, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 8000 block of Groveland Road. The 44-year-old complainant told troopers his debit card was used three times after he used his card to make a purchase of $188 online for computer supplies. The card was deactivated.

On Feb. 10, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2500 block of Allen Road for a report of harassment. The complainant said she believes her ex-husband is monitoring her cell phone calls due to him having certain information. Her minor child also took four tapes from her ex-husband’s home with conversations on them. The case is open.
Warranted
On Feb. 10, at about 8:38 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol at Wildwood Loop and Dogwood, stopped a vehicle with defective equipment that turned without using a signal. The driver said he was going to a friend’s house to pick up a Playstation video game. The driver has six current license suspensions and a report was submitted to the prosecutor’s office for an arrest warrant for driving while license suspended, second or subsequent offense.
Windy
On Feb. 12, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3100 block of Oakwood for a home with an open door. No one was at the home, and nothing appeared to be damaged or missing. High winds may have blown the door open.
Trashed
On Feb 12, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to M-15 near Groveland Road after a report of an intoxicated woman in a restaurant. The woman refused to leave the business after she was asked to vacate the premises. According to the report, the woman’s grandparents came and picked her up before troopers arrived.
One more time
On Feb 13, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the sales office at Groveland Manor after a report of a breaking and entering. The facility manager said suspects entered the office through the same window they did a month ago when the building was robbed. The business owners never replaced the glass window, rather just put a board up over the opening. The suspects kicked out the board and stole a cheap digital camera and the keys to the maintenance vehicle. Troopers dusted the office for prints and two men are persons of interest.
I see you
On Feb. 13, at about 6:30 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol made a traffic stop on a Dodge Intrepid with tinted windows and arrested the driver on an outstanding Friend of the Court warrant.

On Feb. 14, a Brandon deputy arrested a subject at a home in the 1000 block of Lockwood on a felony warrant. He was transported to the Oakland County Jail.
Beers, guns, dead squirrel
On Feb. 14, at about 6:20 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Ortonville Road near Glass Road saw a vehicle driven by a man who was involved in a bar fight about 20 minutes prior and had been advised not to drive due to his intoxicated state. The deputy followed the vehicle and stopped it after he saw it cross the centerline. When he asked the driver how much he’d had to drink, the man replied he’d had about five or six beers since 3:30 p.m. During the stop, the deputy was advised by a second deputy that the suspect had a permit to carry a concealed weapon. When the deputy asked the suspect about his CCW permit, the man admitted he had one and when asked why he didn’t disclose that information, he responded, ‘I f***ed up.? He said he couldn’t count backward from 61 to 37 and refused to take a breathalyzer test. A search of the man’s vehicle turned up ammunition and four firearms? a loaded Kel-Tec .380 in the center console; a Remington 870 Express Magnum; a .22 Ruger Camo Bolt Action in a black case; and a .22 rifle with scope in a silver case, as well as two fully loaded magazines with .22 ammunition. Also in the vehicle were two open half-full cans of beer, two empty beer cans, one unopened beer and in the bed of the truck was a 12-pack of beer and a dead squirrel. The deputy arrested the man for operating while intoxicated, possession or use of a firearm while under the influence, liquor transport and refusal of a breathalyzer. He took the man to the hospital for a blood draw and then to the Oakland County Jail. The case is open.
Just do it
On Feb. 15, at about 10:05 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol at Wildwood Loop and Fir observed a vehicle traveling 33 mph in a 15 mph zone. He stopped the vehicle as it pulled into a driveway in the 3800 block of Apple. The driver smelled of intoxicants and said she’d had seven beers at her brother’s house. The deputy had begun to conduct field sobriety tests on the woman when she asked if he was doing a breathalyzer test and when she was told that was coming later, she replied, ‘Just take it because I know I am going to blow over.? She did? the result of the test was .197 percent blood alcohol content. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.

Cold find
On Feb. 5, at about 1:50 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 4600 block of Butternut. The complainant said he was watching television when he heard a noise and saw a young male outside his door, whom he believes may have psychological issues. The deputy found the teen in subzero temperatures and took him home to his grandmother.
New sales job, no perks
On Feb. 6, at about 4:18 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Oakhill near Sashabaw Road saw a vehicle turn without signaling. The deputy made a stop on the vehicle at Wildwood Loop and Fir and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy patted down the driver and asked him if he had any marijuana in the vehicle. The suspect responded that he may have a few roaches in the ashtray, but that was all. He said he’d smoked some three hours ago. The deputy put the driver in his patrol car and asked the two passengers if there was any marijuana in the vehicle. The front seat passenger reached under his seat and pulled out a Camel cigarette box with three partially burned marijuana cigarettes inside. The passengers were put in another patrol car and the K-9 deputy and his dog, Bodi, were called to the scene. During a search, about 1 pound of marijuana was found inside a Ziploc bag that was inside a coat on the rear driver’s side floorboard. Another sandwich bag with six grams of marijuana was found under the driver’s seat. The deputy confronted the driver again, who said this is the first time he’s ever sold drugs and he did it because he recently lost his job. Besides the marijuana, $163 in cash was confiscated. The driver was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs and possession with intent to distribute. He was taken to the hospital for a chemical test and then to the Oakland County Jail.

Don’t push me
On Jan. 26, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to the 7000 block of Groveland Road for a report of an assault. The female complainant told troopers she was at the home of a male companion when an unknown female entered the residence. The female picked up a lamp and threw it at her’just missing her. The suspect then left the home, got in her car and allegedly pushed the complainant’s vehicle parked in the driveway.
Troopers questioned the suspect, who claimed she was upset the complainant was with the male but did not throw the lamp at her or push her car. No charges filed.
Cut and run
On Jan. 26, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to a business in the 300 block of M-15. The business owner told the trooper that a customer came in to get highlights in her hair. After the customer’s hair was done she told the owner she was going to the car to get her purse. At that point she drove off. The business owner was able to find the name of the customer. Troopers contacted the customer who owed $80.90 for the hair treatment. The 17-year-old suspect came down to the business and paid the bill.
Home alone
On Jan. 26, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to15000 Dixie Highway for a report of a burglary forced entry. When troopers arrived a female resident of the home said she returned home from school to find the front door kicked in. She then called 911 from a neighbor’s home. The homeowner told troopers only costume jewelry was reported stolen.
Shopping
On Jan. 28, at about 4:13 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 3600 block of Pinoak for larceny from an auto. The complainant said he picked up his girlfriend about 1:30 a.m. in Waterford, brought her home and they argued about getting food. He told her he’d make soup, she wanted to go out and get food. She became angry with him and wanted to leave. A friend came to get her and the woman took the complainant’s dog and wallet. When he asked for it back, she gave him a profane instruction and told him she was going shopping. The case is open.

Have a belt
On Jan. 28, at about 5:05 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Dogwood near Hemlock Loop stopped a vehicle after observing the driver not wearing a seatbelt. The deputy recognized the driver as a man who had a warrant for driving while license suspended. His plate was confiscated and a report was submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for an arrest warrant for driving while license suspended, second or subsequent offense.
Bargain basket
On Jan. 28, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to a business in the 13000 block of M-15 after a report of shoplifting. A store employee said a middle-aged, white male wearing wind pants with a white stripe down the side and dark hood, loaded a basket of food in the store and walked out. The store employee asked him to stop, but he started running and left the store. Troopers are still searching for the man.
Snowboard thieves
On Jan. 31, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to Mt. Holly Ski resort after a report of stolen snowboards. The 12-year-old victim said he walked into the lounge area for a snack and returned about a half-hour later to find his snowboard missing. Two white males, about 6 feet tall in their early 20s were reported walking off with four snowboards. One suspect wore a green ski jacket the other wore a white and black ski jacket.
Sad
On Jan. 31, at about 6:30 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of Riseman for a domestic violence call, the fifth time in the past year police had been called to the address. The couple living there is going through a divorce. The husband reported that his wife was watching television with the volume turned all the way up. He said she got up and slapped him in the back of the head. The wife said her husband had unplugged the television several times during the day and after the fifth time, she tapped him on the back of his head with her fingers. The couple’s three children, who were all crying, confirmed their father’s version. The woman was arrested for domestic violence. The case is open.

On Feb. 2, at about 8 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 500 block of Meadow Trail for a building check. The garage and front doors were open. The house appeared abandoned and had been vandalized, with ceiling tiles torn down, the carpet soiled and a large screen television damaged. Toilet paper was spread throughout the house. The deputy locked the front door and closed the garage door manually.

Beer boots
On Jan. 18, at about 6:58 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol observed a Jeep driver attempting to remove his vehicle from a snowbank off Sashabaw Road. The driver backed out and began driving away. The deputy followed, attempting to make a stop, but the driver of the Jeep continued on, with his driver’s side door swinging open, turning on to Dogwood, then Cedar Loop, before finally stopping and exiting the vehicle. The deputy ordered the man back inside. The driver said his wife put the Jeep in the ditch and he came to help and also helped another lady out. He said he went ice fishing earlier in the day. When asked why he left the scene, the man said he was trying to get to a lighted area to stop for the deputy. The suspect smelled of intoxicants and the deputy found an unopened can of Budweiser in the man’s right boot and a second unopened can in his left boot. A breath test revealed the suspect had a .209 percent blood alcohol content. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Blue ox needed
On Jan. 19, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to state land near Jossman and Perryville roads after a report of illegal cutting of trees. The complainant reported a large, burly, bearded man was cutting trees down with a chainsaw. He left in a pickup truck before troopers arrived.
Pay what?
On Jan. 21, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 6000 block of Hillcrest Drive after a report of an identity theft. The complainant said a recent credit report indicated open accounts from, ‘Cash Now,? for $1,106 and ‘Midland Funding? for $812. The complainant had no knowledge of these transactions.
Scrapbooking gone wild
On Jan. 21, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the Rite Aid at M-15 and Grange Hall Road. Store clerks reported three rolls of 35 mm film dropped off for one hour developing contained pictures of marijuana plants in a large duffel bag, and drug paraphenalia. The clerk reported a young woman came into the store and asked for the photos’she was informed the developing machine was not working. After she departed, troopers arrived. The troopers tracked the cell phone number to a business in Orion. Also, a name was found in one of the photos that was identified as a 25-year-old Goodrich man with prior drug convictions in both Rochester and Lapeer. The investigation was turned over to Oakland County NET.
You mean I have to pay?
On Jan. 21, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 10000 block of Horton Road following a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant reported that her 2003 Pontiac was missing from her driveway. The neighbor reported a tow truck came into the driveway and removed the car. After investigation the trooper found the car was repossessed for non-payment.
Cash withdrawal
On Jan. 23, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Oakhill Estates for a report of breaking and entering. The complainant said he arrived home to find his rear garage door pried open and $220 in cash missing from his desk drawer. No suspects.
Ski-daddle
On Jan. 23, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Mt. Holly after a report of skis stolen. The complainant said she left her skis unattended for about five minutes before they were missing. They are Saloman Skis with a Laguna Beach sticker on the tips.
That sucks
On Jan. 24, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4500 block of Wildwood Loop for a malicious destruction of property complaint. Someone spray painted the word ‘sucks? on the side of the complainant’s mobile home. Previously, someone had spray painted the letters ‘lc’on the home and he believes the newest word may be referring to the letters, suspected to stand for Latin Cripps.
Cold runaway
On Jan. 24, a Brandon deputy responded to the 1500 block of Hummer Lake Road for a runaway subject. The teenager, home on a weekend pass from Children’s Village, was later located hitchhiking wearing only a sweatshirt, shorts and socks. He was returned to Children’s Village.
Card-less, brain-less
On Jan. 25, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the BP gas station near the corner of Grange Hall and Dixie Highway after a report of an assault. A 52-year-old Davisburg man reported a confrontation with the attendant after his credit card was denied. The man said he was ignored, treated poorly and felt threatened by the attendant who he claimed was ‘too stupid to be the store owner.? The attendant said the man was angry due to the failure of the credit card and used considerable profanity. The man refused to leave when asked.
Keep your pants on
On Jan. 25, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Perryville Road after a report of lewd and lascivious behavior. A homeowner said a youth wearing a snowsuit pulled his pants down in the road in front of their home and began masturbating while smacking his buttocks. The youth, wearing green boxers and women’s undergarments, would pull the snowsuit up when cars drove by, reported the homeowner. Troopers found the suspect walking on Perryville Road near the complainant’s address just after the report was taken. The youth claimed he never intended to flash anyone, rather, he lowered his pants to ‘adjust himself? in the road. The youth’s father said this was not the first time such behavior was exhibited.
Cable me
On Jan. 25, a Brandon deputy responded to the 1100 block of Lockwood. The complainant had received a notice from a collection agency regarding an unpaid Comcast cable bill for $176. She is not a customer and Comcast does not service her area. The company requested a police report so they could remove the liability and restore her credit.
Try again
On Jan. 26, at about 12:57 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol westbound on Oakwood Road saw an eastbound vehicle cross the centerline in front of him. The deputy was forced to slow down and go to the right of his lane to avoid hitting the vehicle. The deputy turned around and caught up to the vehicle, watching it cross the centerline again. He stopped the vehicle and the driver, who smelled of intoxicants, said he’d had two beers. He also gave the deputy two expired driver’s licenses, failed several field sobriety tests and a breath test revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .186 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail, but after being uncooperative for a chemical test, was taken to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital for a blood draw. A LEIN check showed the man was on his third offense for operating while intoxicated.

Nuts
On Jan. 14, a Brandon deputy responded to a business in the 1700 block of S. Ortonville Road for trouble. When he arrived, a man and woman were standing at the counter. The cashier told the deputy these were the subjects he was having difficulty with. The woman said she was upset because she just missed her first college course and had broken up with her boyfriend. She said she entered the gas station and he followed and there was no problem. The boyfriend said his girlfriend was very emotional and there was no problem, he was just looking out for her. The clerk said he saw the woman hitting her head against a car window several times, and she then ran into the station, with him chasing her. The man told the clerk, ‘Watch her, she steals and is nuts,? then ran to the bathroom after her and began pounding on the door. The clerk said the man was odd, one minute shaking and the next asking the woman if she wanted cookies. The woman showed signs of being intoxicated and a search of the vehicle found three syringes and a charred spoon with suspected heroin residue. Both the man and woman were cited for disorderly conduct.
Freed
On Jan. 15, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a deer laying along the side of Lahring Road. When troopers arrived they found a cable around the neck of the deer, still alive and attached to a nearby tree. The trooper determined the animal had been snared in a trap and discharged his gun to break the cable to free the deer. The animal ran off into the woods.
You made your bed
On Jan. 15, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a the 900 block of Oakhill Road after a report of family issues. When troopers arrived they were asked by the husband if he was allowed to sleep in his own bed even if his wife would not let him. The troopers replied it was not a police matter.
Now lie in it
On Jan. 18, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a the 13000 block of Dixie Highway following a dispute between a husband and wife. The husband agreed to spend the night in the full-size truck with a sleeper berth.
Fraud
On Jan. 16, a complaint was made at the Brandon substation for credit card fraud. The complainant said she suspected her daughter had used her credit card at several places without permission. The complainant said just before Christmas, she ordered her daughter out of the house because of unauthorized charges and hasn’t heard from her since.
Interrupted
On Jan. 16, at about 4:29 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to an alarm call in the 500 block of Brookside. The garage door was forced open, as well as the door to the home from the garage. A flat screen television was tilted on the wall and two wires were unplugged. Items missing included two pairs of earrings, a bracelet, two ruby rings, and a pearl brooch.
Catfight
On Jan. 17, at about 1:15 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to a business in the 2200 block of S. Ortonville Road for a report of assault and battery. The complainant had a scratch on her forehead and was bruised there. She also had a bruised and swollen lip. She said she was at the bar with her boyfriend and friends. A female she didn’t know came up and started yelling, swearing and threatening to beat her up. She was caught off guard and told the woman to take it outside. She said she told her to leave her alone, then the suspect hit her from behind and continued to hit her until she fell. The boyfriend said the suspect had begun talking to him and to avoid a confrontation, he walked away. A surveillance video showed the suspect hitting the victim. The suspect said she was speaking to the complainant’s boyfriend when the complainant told her boyfriend it was time to leave and pushed her. The suspect was cited for assault and battery.
Missing heart
On Jan. 17, at about noon, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4000 block of Hummer Lake Road. The complainant said she discovered jewels missing a week ago and was making a claim for the insurance. The missing jewelry included a yellow gold diamond heart pendant valued at about $1,000. The complainant last saw it in June.
Rude awakening
On Jan. 18, at about 9 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 5000 block of Hummer Lake Road. The complainant said he was assaulted by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, who entered the home without permission and punched him in the eye while he was sleeping with his girlfriend in her bed. He left the house after being hit. The girlfriend said she woke up and saw her ex-boyfriend standing next to the bed and he began hitting her current boyfriend several times in the face. She lives at the home and is in charge while her parents are out of town. The suspect said he went to get his cell phone which he’d left there, walked in as he had many times in the past, saw his naked friend in bed with his girlfriend and ‘lost it.?
Fraud II
On Jan. 20, at about 11:30 a.m., a complaint was filed at the Brandon substation for fraud. The complainant said someone attempted to open a Visa credit card in his name.

Snowman captured
On Jan. 6, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Groveland Manor for the arrest of a fugitive. A 47-year-old man was wanted by the Waterford Township Police Department for possession of cocaine.
Nigeria scam
On Jan. 6, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3800 block of Apple for fraud. The complainant said she responded to an ad on Craig’s List for a house for rent in Waterford. She sent four moneygrams for a total of $1,000 to a ‘Jack Simmons? in Nigeria for a month’s rent and security deposit. She then learned the home was for sale and canted the real estate agency, who informed her the man she sent her money to doesn’t own the home and others have been scammed also, always by a man from Nigeria claiming he’s doing missionary work. The case is open.
Drug sweep
On Jan. 7, at 9:55 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol by Dogwood near Hawthorne saw a vehicle fishtailing and driving too fast for snowy road conditions. The deputy activated his lights, but the vehicle didn’t stop at the stop sign. The vehicle slowed and finally stopped on Wildwood Loop near Hazel. As the deputy approached he observed a pile of marijuana on the driver’s lap. The deputy ordered the driver from the vehicle as the suspect tried to sweep the drug off his lap. The driver was cited for possession of marijuana, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and careless driving. He was released to his mother.
Slab swipe
On Jan. 7, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to 7000 block of Grange Hall Road after a report of a breaking and entering at a business. Troopers reported a window broken out of the business and three slabs of granite use for countertops were damaged in an unsuccessful theft attempt.
Pipe dream
On Jan. 8, at about noon, a Brandon deputy responded to a warehouse on Wolfe Lane. The complainant said someone stole 350 12-foot sections of metal pipe, valued at $1000, which was stored outdoors by a corner of the warehouse. The complainant had been out of town several months and was unsure when the larceny of the pipe occurred.
Eviction
On Jan. 8, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 7000 block of Holdridge Road to serve an eviction notice. The landlord said the tenant, a 72-year-old man, was two months behind on his rent.
Thinking of you
On Jan. 9, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2500 block of Iid’s Way for larceny. The complainant said on Jan. 5, she noticed that a digital camera and several jewelry pieces, valued between $5,000-$6,000, were missing from her home. Her coworker had advised her to check on her valuables after he discovered several pieces of jewelry missing from his home. Both the complainant and co-worker had employed the same woman for housecleaning and childcare. The complainant said her co-worker confronted the suspect and the woman confessed. The complainant believes the suspect has a drug habit. Police investigation revealed the woman had recently sold items to a Waterford pawn shop. The case is open.
Stalker talker
On Jan. 9, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a stalking report at 14000 Dixie Highway. En route, troopers recognized the suspected stalker alongside the road in a GEO Tracker. The suspect said he ran out of gas after returning from his ex-girlfriend’s home. The suspect told troopers, ‘he just misses his ex-girlfriend and went to her house to talk.? No charges were filed.
Just a joke
On Jan. 9, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Mt. Holly Ski Resort after the report of the attempted larceny of two snowboards. A ski resort employee told troopers that he chased, caught and confronted two suspects leaving with snowboards. The two male suspects told the employee they were taking the snowboards as a joke on two friends. However, they could not identify the names of the friends. Troopers went to the two suspects? homes in Flint where they admitted stealing the snowboards.
Smashed
On Jan. 11, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to an alarm at about 3 a.m. to Oakbrook Plaza. Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s office had detained a parking lot snowplow driver after he allegedly backed his truck into the plate glass window of the Verizon Wireless store. The driver, a 27-year-old Flint man, denied breaking the window, claiming the damage to the back of the truck was the result of a past accident. However, the story changed when glass from the window was found in the back of his truck. The driver then told troopers, ‘Well, I don’t remember doing that, but I must have. I was blasting the radio at the time and must not have heard it.? He also tested positive for alcohol with a .18 percent blood alcohol content.He told troopers he had three beers with dinner at about 8 p.m.

On Dec. 15, at about 8:06 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 4400 block of Butternut. The complainant said her daughter had called her to say that someone broke into their home. She discovered a gold wedding band with diamonds missing from her jewelry box.
RX missing
On Dec. 15, at about 10:30 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 4400 block of Hemlock Loop for a breaking and entering report. The complainant said he left at 4:30 a.m. for breakfast and returned and found his side window open and coins and prescription drugs missing.
OUID
On Dec. 16, at about 5 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on southbound Ortonville Road near Elizabeth Street stopped a vehicle after observing it pass on the shoulder. After noticing the vehicle smelled of burnt marijuana, the deputy called for a second deputy and the driver was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs. He was taken to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital for a blood draw and then to the Oakland County Jail. During transport, he made several threats to the deputy. The case is open.
Up on the rooftop
Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Township Satellite responded to Groves Party Store at 13000 Dixie Highway at 5:30 a.m. to a motion alarm.
Troopers entered the business and found the suspects had entered the building from the ceiling. Several bottles of alcohol and cigarettes were reported missing.
Illegal immigrant
On Dec. 16, at about 11:40 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle on Sashabaw Road near Dogwood that had had a broken taillight and was traveling on the wrong side of the road, nearly causing a crash. The driver had an old Mexican license and was not able to speak English. He had no documentation for the vehicle or immigration documents. He was searched and the deputy found a bag of what appeared to be marijuana in his front pocket. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted and informed the deputy the man was an illegal immigrant. He was cited for possession of marijuana and taken to the Oakland County Jail.

On Dec. 18, a Brandon deputy responded to Hummer Lake Road near Sashabaw to euthanize an injured deer.
Mission unaccomplished
On Dec. 18, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4800 block of Seymour Lake Road for a report of intimidation. The complainant said someone sent a threatening e-mail to her Yahoo account. The e-mail indicated the sender was a professional hit man and gave the recipient three days to reply before the ‘mission? was carried out. The deputy advised the complainant it was most likely a money scam.
BB drive-by
On Dec. 19, at about 11 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to a home in the 2900 block of Paw Paw. The complainant was in bed and heard a cracking noise at her bedroom window. She got up to investigated and found bullet-type holes in the window and saw an older red Pontiac Grand Am with 3-4 young occupants looking in her direction. Three windows had damage, with a total of seven bullet holes and two BB’s found between panes.
Sprayed
On Dec. 21, at about 9 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 4500 block of Wildwood Loop for a report of malicious destruction of property. Someone spraypainted ‘LR? on the side of the complainant’s mobile home.

Oh deer
On Dec. 4, at about 5:40 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 3700 block of Cedar Loop to euthanize an injured deer that the homeowner found lying next to his shed. A permit for the deer was issued to the homeowner.
Time for school
On Dec. 4, Atlas Township deputies responded to the 8000 block of Farnsworth following a report that a 6 year old hasn’t been in school for more than one month. The child was found in Flint and is still not enrolled.

On Dec. 8, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the Bueche’s Food World parking lot after a report of a man exposing himself while sitting in his van. The complainant said she could see the man with his paints down masturbating while reading a magazine. Troopers questioned the man who explained he did not think anyone could see him in the van.

On Dec. 9, Atlas Township deputies responded to the 10000 block of Washburn Road due to a dispute over custody and divorce.
No respect
On Dec. 9, at about 7 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 3300 block of Dartmouth for harassing communications. The complainant said his wife’s ex-husband is not respecting child custody arrangements and has been calling him and leaving derogatory messages. He has also been calling his daughter’s cell phone outside of agreed upon times. The deputy advised the complainant to obtain a personal protection order.
Suspended again
On Dec. 9, at about 9:24 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on northbound Ortonville Road near Oakhill Road stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. The driver told the deputy his license was suspended and the plate on the vehicle didn’t belong to it. The man had four misdemeanor traffic warrants out of Pontiac and from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and a LEIN check showed his license has been suspended seven times. The truck was impounded and a report was written for an arrest warrant for driving while license suspended second or subsequent offense and improper registration.
While you were out
On Dec. 10, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 1000 block of Horton Road after the homeowner reported a forced entry. The man said he works out of town and was gone for several days. When he returned he found the deadbolt broken and more than $5,000 in items removed from the home.
Merry Christmas
On Dec. 13, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 2000 block of Bald Eagle Lake Road after a report of family troubles. When troopers arrived, the woman said her husband came home late from work after he had agreed to take the children Christmas shopping. She allegedly pointed an unloaded black powder gun at him, threw a glass bottle at him and threatened him with a knife. He claims she had been drinking.
PPO problem
On Dec. 13, a walk-in complaint was filed at the Brandon substation for a personal protection order violation. The complainant said a woman she has a PPO against has called her several times recently and she told her to stop. Today, she said, her apartment manager told her he saw the suspect knocking on the complainant’s door when she was not at home.
Stolen purse
On Dec. 13, a walk-in complaint was filed at the Brandon substation. The complainant said her purse was stolen from her Grand Prix in the 4300 block of Dogwood. The engine was running while she was loading it. In her purse was a PSP, credit cards, her checkbook, and $75.
Printer found
On Dec. 13, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3700 block of Juniper for suspicious circumstances. The complainant said he found a printer in the snow. He later learned it belongs to his daughter’s aunt, who lives two doors down. It is unknown who took the printer from an unlocked car.
Limelight
On Dec. 13, at about 10:30 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 4600 block of Granger Road for malicious destruction of property. The complainant said someone spray painted his mailbox lime green.
Ditched
On Dec. 12, Atlas Township deputies responded to Gale and Baldwin roads after a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Deputies arrested the driver after he tested PBT .22 and was OWI.
One for the road
On Dec. 14, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the BP gas station near the intersection of Grange Hall Road and Dixie Highway across the street from the Michigan State Police office. A trooper observed a passenger and driver sharing a beer while sitting in the parking lot. They were cited for open intoxicants in a vehicle.
Robber returns
On Dec. 14, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3900 block of Azalea Court for a report of breaking and entering. The homeowner said he arrived home at about 2 a.m. and found someone had forced the door open. His flat screen television was on the floor and a Playstation 3 game console was missing, as well as five games. About 40 minutes after the police cleared the scene, the complainant called police again. He’d heard his dog barking and discovered someone had just broke in again and took the flat screen television.
Scream
On Dec. 15, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4600 block of Hemlock Loop. The complainant said her son left for work at about 6:45 a.m. and soon after, she heard footsteps on the porch. She looked through a window and saw a man in a black hooded sweatshirt on her porch. She screamed and he fled.

Game grab
On Nov. 23, a Brandon deputy took a walk-in larceny complaint at the substation. The complainant named a suspect that he said took a Playstation 3 and seven games from his home in the 4400 block of Wildwood Loop. The suspect was later seen selling them at Game Stop, the man said.
PlayStation dispute
On Dec. 1, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 6000 block of Hillcrest Road after the complainant reported she gave an old PlayStation to a neighbor to sell. The complainant changed their mind and asked for it back. The seller refused. Troopers settled the issue.
Warranted
On Dec. 2, at about 8 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol northbound on Ortonville Road, stopped a vehicle for an obstructed view and defective equipment. The passenger, who had a North Carolina identification card, had a warrant out for his arrest for driving while license suspended and operating while intoxicated second offense. He was arrested on the warrant and lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
Lift off
On Dec. 3, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Mt. Holly Ski Resort following a report of a 21-year-old man who was allegedly caught without a lift ticket while attempting to board the ski lift. The same man was caught without a lift ticket on Feb. 23, 2007 and had agreed to pay $50 before returning to Mt. Holly. The fine was not paid. He was charged with trespass.
PPO violation
On Dec. 4, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4400 block of Beechwood for the violation of a personal protection order. The complainant said she returned home and found her stepson and his girlfriend moving in. The stepson told the complainant his father gave him written permission to move in and met him at the home to give him access. The complainant is currently in the midst of a divorce from the stepson’s father and has a personal protection order against her husband. She said he is in violation of her PPO against him, because he entered the home and removed a metal box containing tax returns and home and cabin information. She had also boxed a collection of his knives and found he put them back in a dresser. The complainant said her stepson is a known drug user and she didn’t feel safe. The deputy advised her to call her stepson and inform him he cannot move in and set a time for him to pick up his belongings. He also advised her to change the locks. A report was forwarded to a judge.
Snowboard thief
On Dec. 5, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Mt. Holly Ski Resort following a report that a 15-year-old Lapeer youth allegedly stole a snowboard valued at $350 and placed his name on the snowboard at the ski check. The youth then returned to claim the snowboard and was detained by the Mt. Holly authorities.
Babysitter balk
On Dec. 5, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 2000 block of Grange Hall Road following a report regarding the welfare of children. When troopers arrived, a 12-year-old girl answered the door and reported that she was left at home with three siblings, the oldest 7-years-old. It was her first time left alone and she was scared. She told troopers that her mother and father were divorced’the father was in Davison getting his hair cut while she was with the kids. The troopers advised the mother of the situation.
Lost and confused
On Dec. 5, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Grange Hall Road near Tripp Road following a report of a strange 33-year-old man dressed in camouflage walking along the road. The man told troopers he was dropped off and did not know where he was going or his location. Troopers transported the man to Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc.
Fraud
On Dec. 5, a Brandon deputy responded to the 300 block of N. Baldwin Road. The complainant said he recently bought the house and when he called Consumers to activate power, he was told he had an outstanding bill for $319. He believes the roommate he had when living at a home in the 4400 block of Dogwood used his personal information to get an account with Consumers. He called the man, who admitted to the fraud and said he would repay, but the suspect now won’t return calls.
Triple threat
On Dec. 6, at about 12:49 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol at Oakwood and N. Hurd roads stopped a vehicle after observing it cross the centerline, fog line, and fail to maintain speed. The driver smelled of intoxicants and said she had three beers an hour earlier. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed she had a blood alcohol content of .149 percent. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Caught
On Dec. 7, at about 5:54 a.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 4500 block of Wildwood Loop regarding a personal property damage accident that had occurred earlier. The complainant said he found, in the 3800 block of Cherry, the vehicle that ran into his parked vehicles. The deputy had pieces from the suspect vehicle and when he investigated, he found a Chevy Venture with fresh damage to the headlight and side light. He compared it with the pieces he had and found a match. The deputy knocked on the door of the home and a woman there went and got her son, who smelled of intoxicants. He wouldn’t admit to the accident, but a preliminary breathalyzer test showed he had a blood alcohol content of .159 percent. He was cited for minor in possession and leaving the scene of an accident.
Missing dog
On Dec. 7, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Perryville and Van roads for a report of a missing beagle dog. The mostly black male is named Guiness. Contact the Groveland Township post with information regarding the dog.
Exposed
On Dec. 8, at about 5:22 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the area of Ortonville and Granger roads for a man in a dark-colored mini-van parked in a business parking lot exposing his genitals while looking at a pornographic magazine. The deputy eventually found the vehicle in the Bueche’s parking lot and asked the man if he was doing anything inappropriate. The man said no, he was waiting for his wife. He later recanted and said his wife was not in the store, he was picking up molding from a Clarkston store. He was asked if he had anything in the vehicle and he said there was marijuana in the center console. The vehicle also contained open intoxicants and the porn magazine. The 41-year-old Atlas Township resident was turned over to the Michigan State Police.

Illegal immigrants
On Nov. 22, at about 5 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Oakwood Road near Sashabaw Road observed a vehicle with an object hanging from the rearview mirror. He made a stop on the vehicle and the driver, who appeared to be Hispanic, did not answer when asked for his driver’s license and registration. When asked if he spoke English, the driver replied no. The passenger didn’t speak English either. Their identification was not state-issued. The deputy called an immigration official, who after speaking on the phone with the driver told the deputy that both men admitted being here illegally after running across the desert in Texas. Both men were arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Snowed
On Nov. 22, a Brandon deputy responded to the 5700 block of Oakwood Road. The complainant said between Nov. 19 and 22, someone stole his snowmobile trailer with two snowmobiles on it from his backyard, near his pole barn.
Alarmed
On Nov. 23, a Brandon deputy responded to the 700 block of N. Hurd Road for an alarm. The home’s front door was unlocked. There was no sign of forced entry or missing property and the deputy left his business card and secured the home.
Warranted
On Nov. 23, at 9:30 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol at M-15 and I-75 stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. The driver had a misdemeanor warrant for a traffic violation and driving while license suspended, twice. A report was written for a warrant for driving while license suspended second or subsequent offense.
Laptop larceny
On Nov. 24, Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Township Post responded to the Groveland Road after a report of a stolen laptop computer from the victim’s pickup truck. The Toshiba laptop computer was unique in that it was purchased in Iraq and was outfitted with both English and Arabic letters on the keyboard.
Ring robbery
On Nov. 24, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3900 block of Azalea for a larceny complaint. The complainant said someone stole a gold herringbone necklace and white gold engagement ring valued at $2,000 from his home. The case is open.
Tool time
On Nov. 25, Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Township Post responded to Chin Court after a report of a breaking and entering. The complainant and victim said his apartment was broken into and a ladder along with a bucket of tools were taken. The items were discovered in front of a neighboring apartment’s front door. The residents were unaware how they got there.
Money laundered
On Nov. 25, Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Township Post responded to 13000 Dixie Highway at the Chateau View Apartments. The manager told troopers that someone broke into the office and tried unsuccessfully to pry open the change holder from a pay washing machine.
Pills pilfered
On Nov. 25, a Brandon deputy responded to the 200 block of W. Glass Road for a larceny complaint. The complainant said he takes 14 methadone pills per day. The pills are kept in a lockbox. On Nov. 4, he had the prescription filled for 420 pills, and on Nov. 21, he discovered 70 pills missing. The case is open.
While you were out
On Nov. 25, Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Township Post responded to the 16000 of Tindall Road to a report of a forced entry into a home. When troopers arrived, the homeowner and victim said that an intruder broke open the front door and removed two 37-inch TVs along with jewelry. No suspects.
Click it or jail
On Nov. 26, a Brandon deputy was doing a ‘Click it or ticket? detail at I-75 and Baldwin Road and stopped a car in which the passenger was not wearing her seatbelt. The driver had a suspended license for unpaid tickets and the passenger had a felony warrant for assault. The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving while license suspended and the passenger was transported to the Troy Police Department.
Crash… again
On Nov. 26, at about 7:28 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to Oakwood Road near Sands Road for a personal damage accident. The deputy recognized the driver as one involved in a crash an hour earlier. The driver appeared sleepy and said a deer ran out into the raod, causing him to hit it and run off the raod. There were no signs of a hit deer and the man failed sobriety tests. On the way to the hospital for a blood test, the man fell asleep as the deputy was talking to him and began snoring loudly. He was lodged at the Oakland County Jail and the case is open pending a prosecutor review and a warrant.
Thanksgiving get-away
On Nov. 27, Michigan State Troopers from the Groveland Township Post responded to the 13000 block of Dixie Highway. The homeowner and victim reported that he and his wife left their home about 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day for dinner. When the couple returned at about 7 p.m., they found several thousand dollars in guns and jewelry missing. The handguns stolen are registered and can be traced, troopers said. Fingerprints on the door were taken and shoe imprints in the snow were recovered. Troopers have a suspect.
Escapee
On Nov. 28, at about 4:09 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 5100 block of Oakhill Road for a welfare check on a juvenile who escaped from Oakland County Children’s Village five months before. She was found hiding with her boyfriend.
Ring robbery II
On Nov. 29, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2100 block of Dunwoodie for larceny. The complainant said her diamond ring was stolen from her home sometime in the month of November.
Warranted II
On Nov. 29, a Brandon deputy stopped a vehicle at Oakhill Road and Redbud for defective equipment. The passenger had a parole absconder warrant and was taken to Oakland County Jail.
Assault
On Nov. 30, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2700 block of Granger Road for an assault and battery report. The complainant said her boyfriend that she has lived with for 15 years is terminally ill and in the hospital, and his relatives came to check on her. She said she told them to leave and they walked in and a male relative took her to the ground. The man’s wife said the complainant tried to push her off the porch and her husband accidentally fell to the floor with the complainant.

Open but not home
On Nov. 16, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 16000 block of Kimberly after a resident reported a door open at their neighbor’s home.
Phantom deer
On Nov. 16, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Fish Lake Road to a vehicle upside down in the ditch. The driver was still in the vehicle but unable to get out due to being wedged in the car. A tow truck pulled the vehicle out and he climbed out. The 59-year-old driver said he swerved and hit a deer causing the accident. No sign of a hit deer was found by troopers and a PBT was given, producing a .12 percent blood alcohol content. He appeared disoriented and was taken to Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc for evaluation.
Flash in the pants
On Nov. 16, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Van Road after a citizen reported a teenager allegedly flashing vehicles from his driveway. The neighbors reported that it was not the first time it occurred and wanted no charges filed. The 15-year-old boy admitted to the flashing but did not claim a motive. The father said he and the boy will attend counseling.
Snow job
On Nov. 18, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4000 block of Hummer Lake Road for the larceny of a snowplow, taken from the driveway.
Home invader
On Nov. 18, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3600 block of Cedar Loop for a home invasion. The homeowner said someone broke glass above the front door handle, entered and stole a change jar, pint of Bacardi rum, and jewelry including two diamond rings, a gold necklace, and earrings. The deputy found the screens to most of the windows had been removed or someone had attempted to remove them.
Malicious
On Nov. 18, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2700 block of Allen Road for malicious destruction of property. Someone had entered through a broken garage door, punched holes in the drywall and spilled several gallons of paint over the basement walls. The complainant is concerned because the home is in foreclosure and she doesn’t want to be held responsible.
Steal of a deal
On Nov. 18, a walk-in complaint was filed at the Brandon substation. The complainant said his father died recently and he is the executor of his estate. He placed his father’s pick-up truck for sale on Craig’s List and a man interested in the truck came to his brother’s house in the 900 block of Hurd Road on Nov. 12. On Saturday, Nov. 15, the man called and said he would come out to buy the truck after he got off work at the Chrysler Jefferson plant. He arrived and gave the complainant an $8,000 check with the Chase logo. The complainant signed the title and gave it to the man. When the complainant took the check to the bank on Monday, they told him it was a fake. The case is open.
Hit and run
On Nov.18, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a hit and run at the corner of South M-15 and Grange Hall Road. The complainant reported a full size pickup truck rear- ended their vehicle at the intersection. The mother of the suspect reported the incident to MSP who went to their home for an investigation. The suspect, a 31-year-old male, said he was under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol. He was arrested for driving while license suspended, and OUID.
Jail fix
On Nov. 18, at about 9:37 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Oakhill Road saw a vehicle travel left of center while turning on to Redbud, then speed up to Fir and fail to stop at the stop sign. The deputy stopped the vehicle on Fir. The driver gave the deputy his license and informed him it was suspended. The man’s speech was slurred, he was unable to complete sentences and during a search of the vehicle the deputy found two used syringes, a milky white liquid in a cup in the vehicle, and a spoon with white residue. The suspect denied drinking or being on any medications. He was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, and then told the deputy he was on methadone. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, then transported to the Oakland County Jail. Records show the man has four previous drug-related convictions. A Home Depot credit card belonging to the man’s father, as well as Home Depot receipts were found on the man. The father said his son demanded $100 from him and said if he didn’t give it to him, he would use his credit card to buy generators. The father cancelled the card. The case is open pending the blood draw results.

On Nov. 19, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to 1000 block of Jossman Road to a prowler walking around a pole barn. The individual disappeared into the woods.
Gang graffiti
On Nov. 19, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2000 block of Buckthorn for malicious destruction of property. The complainant arrived home at 1:50 a.m. and found graffiti on his house. Gang signs in red spray paint covered a 4 foot by 4 foot area.
License-less
On Nov. 19, a Brandon deputy on patrol on Dogwood near Pinoak stopped a Ford Ranger truck which had no title information in the Secretary of State database. The driver said his license was suspended and when he bought the truck he never switched the title to his name. He had no insurance, no title and no bill of sale. His plate was confiscated and a report was submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for driving while license suspended second offense, no insurance, no registration and improper plate.

On Nov. 20, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 16000 block of Dixie Hwy. A bank owned home was reported broken into after the suspect climbed through a upstairs window. The house was empty and no damage was reported.

On Nov. 20, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Catalies Way for the larceny of tools from a garage. Pawn shops are on alert.
Cable man
On Nov. 21, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to 1000 block of Groveland Pines after a report of a suspicious subject attempting to impersonate a utilities employee. When troopers arrived they found the resident standing behind an ACI cable van. The individual said he was a subcontractor with Comcast Cablevision and was there to fix a problem. He had a work order but not identification. He told troopers that the homeowner was agitated with the company over service issues and refused to allow him to back out of the driveway. His story was confirmed.

On Oct 19, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a residence in the 15000 block of Dixie Highway for a report of a forced entry. The family was gone for the weekend at the time the suspect allegedly came in through a basement window. Missing from the home was an XBox360, a snowboard and jewelry.

On Oct 20, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 600 block of Brandt Road for a report of a forced entry. The homeowner left home at 8:40 a.m. and returned at 10:50 a.m. to find the ground level window open. About $800 in jewelry along with $50 in cash was missing.
Concrete evidence
On Oct. 22, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2000 block of Palisades Drive. The complainant said his rental property had sustained damage to the patio and sidewalk when someone removed a 7-by-30 foot portion of concrete. The house was being rented at the time the damage was done, but the renters have left with no forwarding address.
Mom says so
On Oct 23, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to 3000 Perryville Road after a call of possible abuse. The complainant lives out-of-state and feared for the safety of her daughter and grandchildren. The complainant is concerned the live-in-boyfriend is abusive. The troopers interviewed the man, who told troopers that the mother is just harassing the couple.
Drunk dad litterbug
On Oct. 23, a Brandon deputy on patrol at about 8:40 p.m. was on Hadley Road near Granger Road when he saw the driver of the truck in front of him throw a beer can out his window. The deputy stopped the vehicle and informed the driver that he’d thrown that last beer can out the window in front of him. The driver replied that he’d thrown several cans out, because he didn’t want his wife to know he was drinking. The man smelled of intoxicants and had his 8-year-old son in the backseat. The deputy asked the suspect how much he’d had to drink and he said, ‘One beer.? A preliminary breathalyzer test on the man showed he had a blood alcohol content of .198 percent. The boy’s mother was contacted and she arrived to take custody of her son and the truck. The suspect was arrested for operating while intoxicated, and a report was submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office seeking warrants for OWI, child endangerment, and littering.
Chair custody
On Oct. 24, a Brandon deputy responded to the 4300 block of Wildwood Loop for larceny. The complainant said her former live-in boyfriend and the father of two of her children had moved out two weeks ago. He called and asked if she would be home so he could come over. She told him she wasn’t home and the neighbor later told her he and his girlfriend came, entered the shed and took some of his chairs and a basket of unknown items. The shed lock is now missing. The deputy told her it is a civil matter, because her boyfriend formerly resided there and because of his ownership of the known items.
Home sweet home
On Oct. 24, at about 9:47 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Redbud Lane near Fir ran the plate of the vehicle in front of him and found it belonged to a Saturn, even though it was attached to a Dodge Shadow. The deputy attempted to make a stop, but the vehicle kept going until it pulled into a driveway in the 3700 block of Redbud. The deputy ordered the driver out, put him in the patrol car and asked him, ‘Why didn’t you stop?? To which the man responded that he saw the deputy, but wanted to get the vehicle home. The suspect smelled of intoxicants and said he’d had three beers. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed the man had a blood alcohol content of .097 percent. He had multiple license suspensions and previous convictions for driving while license suspended and operating while intoxicated. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated, third offense, improper registration and misdemeanor warrants. He was taken to the Oakland County Jail.

On Oct. 25, a Brandon deputy responded to the 600 block of Garland Avenue for a malicious destruction of property report. The complainant’s Blazer, parked in the driveway, had a key gouge from the left front fender to the left rear bumper and all the tires had been punctured.

On Oct. 25, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 13000 block of Chateau Cove Street. The male complainant, 46, reported being hit with a purse by his wife following a verbal altercation. The couple were married 15 years and had a past arrest for a domestic altercation.

On Oct. 26, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to a home in the 9000 block of Kier Road. Troopers responded to a MIP Party after a tip from the party listed on FaceBook. The report was unfounded.
Just stop
On Oct 27, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township stopped a motorist in the14000 block of Dixie Highway for speeding. The individual had three outstanding traffic warrants in addition to: five failure to appear in court violations; nine failure to comply with judgements;12 driver responsibility fees and seven driving while license suspended convictions.
No man… really
On Oct. 26, at about 5 a.m., Brandon deputies responded to the 300 block of Oakwood Road for possible family trouble. One deputy went around to the back of the home while the other knocked on the door and through the window saw three toddlers watching television. The deputy in the back saw a man come halfway downstairs and go back up without answering the door. A woman finally answered the door and said everything was OK, no one was yelling. She refused to let the deputies in and said there was no man in her home. She went so far as to have the toddlers tell the deputies no man was there. The deputies called the person who had originally called 9-1-1 and she said she’d heard a woman yelling at the top of her lungs ‘stop it? and ‘leave me alone.? She’d also heard lots of banging and screaming. Based on this information, the deputies searched the home and found a man upstairs. They learned the man had a warrant for his arrest through Friend of the Court and he was taken to the Oakland County Jail. The woman then admitted they had a verbal argument.

Dazed and confused
On Oct. 12, a Brandon deputy responded to the area of Perry Lake and Seymour Lake roads, the scene of a rollover crash. The vehicle was empty. Contact was made with the complainant at a home in the 1700 block of Patterson. She said she was on her way home from a wedding when a deer ran in front of her vehicle or she fell asleep and crashed, she was unsure which had happened. She said she had not been drinking and insisted on being given a breathalyzer test. She couldn’t say where the car was or the position it was in. She then admitted she hadn’t been in the vehicle, her unlicensed boyfriend was driving it. She had given him the keys to get home from a wedding. The suspect driver came into the substation for an interview and said he was driving home when two deer came out and he swerved to miss them and lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. When he woke up, the car was upside down and he was tangled in the seatbelt. He called his girlfriend and told her to call the police. While he was on the phone, he dropped it and couldn’t find it. He walked in the woods and didn’t get home until 6:30 a.m. after getting lost. He said he was not intoxicated and didn’t call the police because he didn’t think about it. He was cited for driving while license suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving. His girlfriend was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle.
Disturbing the peace
On Oct. 13, at about 8 p.m., Brandon deputies responded to Oakwood and Hadley roads, where a new elementary school is being built, for a noise ordinance violation in progress. The deputies found an asphalt company at work with several large trucks, a paver and roller in use. The foreman said he had two more dump trucks with pup trailers to unload, each taking a half-hour. The complainant said on Oct. 11, a Saturday, the paving crew worked from 5 a.m. until very late into the night, and the noise was disturbing. He also said the trucks posed traffic hazards parked along the road with no construction signs and several near accidents. The company was cited for an ordinance violation of disturbing the peace and was advised to stop as soon as possible.
Power hour
On Oct. 16, at about 12:54 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on northbound Ortonville Road observed a vehicle turn left out of the McDonald’s parking lot in front of another vehicle and almost lose control. The deputy turned around to make a traffic stop on the vehicle and saw the suspect turn into the Taco Bell parking lot. He made a traffic stop there and detected the odor of intoxicants on the driver, who said he’d had a couple drinks during ‘power hour.? A preliminary breathalyzer test revealed the man had a blood alcohol content of .185 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and lodged in the Oakland County Jail.
Quite a leap
On Oct. 16, at about 2:30 a.m., a Brandon deputy returning to the township from the Oakland County Jail in Pontiac observed a vehicle cross the centerline, go into the turn lane, and come back to the inside lane on Dixie Highway. The vehicle swerved back and forth over the centerline and then made a very wide left turn onto Andersonville Road, going up over the curb and almost hitting a telephone pole. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. The driver, who smelled of intoxicants, couldn’t find her license, registration and insurance and said she’d had two beers.She said the deputy would not believe her, but she was trying to avoid frogs crossing the road and that’s why she was weaving. The deputy asked her if that’s why she went over the curb while making a left, instead of the alcohol she drank. She replied that she knew the deputy wouldn’t believe her. She was turned over to an alcohol enforcement deputy for operating while intoxicated.
Stoned
On Oct. 16, a Brandon deputy responded to the 100 block of Stonebridge Court for malicious destruction of property. The complainant said someone threw a stone through her garage window.
Alarmed
On Oct. 16, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3200 block of Allen Road after an alarm was reported at a neighbor’s home. The garage door and another door at the home were unlocked. The home was checked and noone was found. The deputy left a business card and locked the doors.
Tickets and tears
On Oct. 17, at about 8:50 p.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Oakhill Road approaching Dartmouth ran the license plate of the vehicle in front of him and discovered that although a white sticker indicated the plate wouldn’t expire until 2009, the registration had actually expired in August. He made a traffic stop and when he told the driver her registration had expired, she said she had paid her boyfriend to get the registration and insurance and he stole her money. The deputy noted the woman had slightly slurred speech and glassy, bloodshot eyes. He wrote her tickets for expired registration and no proof of insurance and when he gave her the tickets, she began crying and asked what she could do to the person who stole her money. He noticed her speech was more slurred and he gave her a preliminary breathalyzer test, which showed the woman had a blood alcohol content of .175 percent. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Gone in 60 seconds
On Oct. 19, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 1400 block of Ortonville Road after the complainant said a commerical tow truck, from Fenton Towing, backed up to his pickup parked in his driveway, and pulled it away. The wife told troopers the payments were up-to-date. The troopers contacted Hank Graff Chevrolet where the truck was purchased, who told them the lien on the vehicle was with GMAC. Troopers contacted the wife and reported that she was not surprised that the truck had been repossessed.
Signs
On Oct. 15, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 400 block of West State Park Road after a report of missing political signs. The neighbors were contacted and did not see any suspicious activity.
Pickup, pickup
On Oct. 13, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 4000 block of Grange Hall Road. The homeowner reported his 2007 Ford pickup truck was stolen from his driveway. The keys were not in the truck, no glass was broken and his dogs did not bark during the night. The case is open.

On Oct. 13, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the 6000 block of Sleepy Hollow. When troopers arrived, the 14-year-old daughter of the homeowner was fighting with his girlfriend over the amount of time they were spending together.

On Oct. 6, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to the 17000 block of Coventery to make an arrest of a fugitive from Erie County, Ohio. He was picked up without incident.
Fanny fraud
On Oct. 9, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2800 block of S. Sashabaw Road for larceny from an auto. The complainant said he noticed items missing from his unlocked vehicle including a hunting fanny pack with three knives and a compass. He suspected the theft happened the previous Saturday, when his neighbor’s car was broken into. A compass was found with his neighbor’s empty laptop case.
Oh deer
On Oct. 9, a Brandon deputy euthanized an injured deer in a yard in the 5100 block of Granger Road.
Warranted
On Oct. 10, at about 1 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol at Dogwood and Oak Hill Road stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and found the passenger had three misdemeanor warrants for his arrest, including one from White Lake. The man was arrested and turned over to the White Lake Police Department. The driver of the vheicle had a personal protection order against him that had not yet been served. He was informed not to have contact with the person who filed and to call the court to get specifics.
Alarmed
On Oct. 11, a Brandon deputy responded to the 5700 block of Seymour Lake Road for an alarm. A perimeter check showed all the doors and windows locked except a rear sliding door. The deputy checked the home and found no suspicious activity. He secured the door and left a business card.
Plateless
On Oct. 11, a Brandon deputy responded to a business in the 600 block of S. Ortonville Road for larceny from an auto. The complainant said a license plate was stolen from a trailer being stored there.
Fresno fraud
On Oct. 11, a Brandon deputy responded to Lane Car Company, 2200 S. Ortonville Road, for a fraud complaint. An employee there reported that on Oct. 6, he received an e-mail from a woman saying she wanted to purchase a vheicle and have it shipped to Fresno, Calif. Today, he received a check from UPS for $8,000 from a college in Washington. He believes the check to be fraudulent and wanted the incident documented.
Burned and keyless
On Oct. 12, a Brandon deputy responded to the 6500 block of Oakhill Road for a malicious destruction of property report. The complainant said someone burned the corner of a ‘for sale? sign at the property. The man also said a key left in the ignition of his battery-dead ?94 Honda was missing.

On Sept. 27, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Jossman Road for four mailboxes smashed.

On Sept. 29, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Thread Valley Road after the report of a stolen chainsaw from a garage. The case was there, but empty.
Tax fraud
On Sept. 30, a walk-in complaint of fraud was made at the Brandon substation. The complainant said he filed a 2007 federal income tax return and the IRS said someone used his personal information in Chicago to file.
Drunk grandpa
On Oct. 1, a Brandon deputy responded to a hit and run property damage accident. The complainant said he and another vehicle struck mirrors while passing in opposite directions at Hummer Lake and Sashabaw roads. Both drivers stopped, but when the complainant said he was calling the police to report the accident, the other driver left the scene. The complainant followed the man and got his plate number and the dispatch operator advised him to stop following the suspect. The deputy arrived and as he was taking the complainant’s information, the suspect drove by. The deputy stopped the man, who admitted being in the accident and said he left when the other driver accused him of being drunk. The deputy asked him if he’d been drinking, and the man said, yes, at home. The man’s grandchildren, 7- and 9-years-old, were in the truck, but he said he had just picked them up and they weren’t in the vehicle at the time of the accident. A preliminary breathalyzer test on the man showed results of .176 percent blood alcohol content. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and child endangerment. He was taken to the Oakland County Jail, the vehicle was impounded and the children were taken to their grandmother.
RX for trouble
On Oct. 1, a Brandon deputy responded to the 5700 block of Sherwood for larceny from an auto. The complainant said he spent the night before at a friend’s off M-24 in Lapeer County. The next day he discovered his backpack containing his laptop computer, an iPod and T-shirt was missing, as well as his bathroom bag with medication. His medications were turned in to an Oxford pharmacy.
Caught on tape
On Oct. 2, a Brandon deputy responded to a larceny inside a business in the 2200 block of Ortonville Road. The complainant said she had her purse and her boyfriend’s wallet on the bar in front of her and someone stole the items while she was in conversation. A Visa credit card in the man’s wallet was found to have been fraudulently used to buy gas at Sunoco. A surveillance video showed a man whom they identified as an acquaintance take the items. The case is open.
Expecting a fight
On Oct. 3, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to the Groveland Manor Trailer Park for a report of a fight. According to reports the complainant, who is pregnant, said she was walking back from the school bus stop when the daughter of a neighbor yelled, ‘My mommy hates you,? out the window. The complainant replied, ‘We need to settle this right now,? to the neighbor. The two 24-year-old women exchanged verbal insults in the street and then exchanged blows. Both victims claim assault and battery initiated by the other.
Gotcha
On Oct. 3, at about 12:39 a.m., a Brandon deputy on patrol on Ortonville Road observed a vehicle without a plate light. He turned around to follow the vehicle, and saw it turn into McDonald’s without signalling. The deputy turned into McDonald’s to catch up and the suspect drove quickly around the building and slowed just before getting back on southbound Ortonville Road, not stopping or using a turn signal. The deputy stopped the vehicle near Brandon High School and asked the driver why he didn’t stop or use a turn signal, to which the driver replied, ‘You got me.? The driver smelled of intoxicants and said he’d had two beers. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed the man had a blood alcohol content of .099 percent. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and a search of the man found a cigarette pack with a sandwich bag that contained marijuana. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw and then taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Lost and found
On Oct. 3, a Brandon deputy wrote a report for an incident that occurred on Sept. 19 in the 4300 block of Fir. The complainant said her car speaker and stereo equipment were stolen from her unlocked vehicle that was parked in her driveway. The property was recovered by the Waterford Police Department, and she delayed reporting it, because she couldn’t find her sales receipts for the items.
Long way home
On Oct. 4, Michigan State Troopers from Groveland Township responded to Bird and Bald Eagle Lake roads for a report of an damaged abandoned vehicle. The 25-year-old female driver and car owner was contacted and reported she left the Boat Bar at 2 a.m. She was on her way home when she swerved to miss a group of deer and hit some trees. Neither she, nor her passenger in the car had cell phones, so they walked four miles to a home in Ortonville to make a phone call. She was charged with failure to stop and report property damage.
Fired up
On Oct. 4, at about 10:46 p.m., a Brandon deputy responded to the 3400 block of Sherwood Road for a mailbox on fire. The homeowner said she arrived home and saw smoke coming from the mailbox.
Fired up II
On Oct. 5, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3200 block of Perry Lake Road for malicious destruction of property to a mailbox. The complainant said someone set her mailbox on fire overnight. A flare was found nearby.
Unlocked
On Oct. 5, a Brandon deputy responded to the 3800 block of Sherwood Road for a home invasion. The complainant said overnight his unlocked car was ransacked and the seat slashed. The air conditioner was turned on high and cold. Someone also entered his closed, unlocked garage and stole two mountain bikes, one black and red, the other purple.
Laptop larceny
On Oct. 6, a Brandon deputy responded to the 2800 block of S. Sashabaw Road for larceny from an auto. The complainant said a laptop computer and radar detector were taken from a vehicle parked in the locked garage. There were no signs of forced entry and the empty laptop case was recovered nearby.

Sunday, Sept. 18, home invasion on Morgan Road.
Suspicious circumstances on Kimberly. The OCSD responded to a report of a fight, with possible shots fired and someone possibly having an AK-47. Forced entry was made into an apartment but no weapons were found.
