The Department of Environmental Quality held a public hearing on Aug. 29 to discuss the application for the Eagle Valley Landfill expansion.
The majority of the crowd was against the expansion. Many voiced strong concerns against building upon the original cell that was created because it was not made to the same standards of current cells and were afraid of leakage.
