No one was injured on Friday, May 9, when a woman slammed into the rear end of a Brandon Schools special needs passenger bus, on M-15. According to Deputy Terry Somerville’s scene report the driver of the 1999 Ford sedan rear ended the school bus while attempting to turn onto M-15. The bus was sitting in the left hand turn lane, waiting for traffic to clear, in order to complete a left turn onto Wolfe Road. The Ortonville resident was cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle. Bart Jenniches, Superintendent of Brandon Schools said one passenger was on the bus and that the child was uninjured.’The mother came and got the child and everything is all right,? said Jenniches.Brandon fire fighters used air bags to disengage the car from the bus. The car became hung up on the bus fender hooks during the accident.
