As owner and agent Hazel opened Farm Bureau Insurance 1201 S. Ortonville Road on May 2.

He reviews all the insurable interests of his clients and makes recommendations when necessary, to make sure there are ‘no surprises? later.
Hazel with more than 23 years in the insurance industry is a Certified Insurance Counselor, Charter Life Underwriter, and Charter Financial Consultant. He is also active with events in the community including the 2005 Salute to Safety at the Clarkston Medical Campus, 5625 Water Tower Place.
The Michigan-based company began offering insurance policies in 1949, although its origins reach back to the 1920s when as Farm Bureau it was an agricultural advocacy group.
Farm Bureau insures homes, automobiles and businesses. They also offer life insurance policies and are the state’s largest farm insurer. Statewide, the business has 400 agents.
