Lake Orion’s Zach Maresh threw three scoreless innings of relief as Albion College walked off Nicolay Field with a 4-3 victory over Adrian College in the second game of a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association baseball doubleheader.
Albion had to settle for a split after collecting five hits in a 6-0 game one loss.
Maresh surrendered a pair of walks in the fifth, but he retired the Adrian batters in order in the sixth and seventh to gain his first career victory at the collegiate level. Adrian had runners on first and third with two out in the fifth, but he escaped by inducing a fly ball to right.
