Two cents worth
On Tuesday, May 6 police asked an angry customer at the Shell station on M-15 to leave the business because she was shouting at the clerk. The customer began yelling at the clerk after the clerk mentioned that on her last visit the customer was a penny short on the gas bill. The customer stated the clerk was harassing her because she was being treated differently than the other customers because she paid for gas with gas vouchers from St. Ann’s Church.
Caught with marijuana
On Monday, May 12 at 3 a.m. a warrant arrest was made when police were called to investigate threats against an Ortonville resident. When deputies were frisking the suspect they found marijuana in his pocket. The suspect admitted he was highly intoxicated and started to run. A field test was administered and the results showed the man was also under the influence of marijuana.

OUIL
Troopers executed a traffic stop on Dixie Highway and Grange Hall Road for a lane use violation. The car had crossed the dividing line three times and was weaving back and forth. The Swartz Creek man was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail. The incident took place at 11:47 p.m. on Monday, April 28.
Slow down
A Flint man, traveling down Tindall Road, was found to have a suspended license after he was pulled over for going 72 in a 55 mph speed zone. The driver informed the officer that his license was suspended. The trooper called Oakland County Jail but they would not admit him because of a suspended license. The incident took place on 7:51 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29.
Larceny
On the 8000 bock of Jordan in Atlas Township at 9:45 p.m. $200 worth of landscaping rocks were stolen in Atlas Township. The incident took place on Friday, May 2.

Out of control party
Troopers responded to a loud party complaint at 4:30 a.m. in Groveland Township near Dixie Highway. As they arrived they saw a woman screaming at someone on the front porch. The trooper investigated the disturbance while other people at the location remained inside. The Holly woman had scratches and blood on her face. The trooper talked to her and her ex-boyfriend and he was informed then that she assaulted him. She was later taken to the Groveland Township Post for fingerprints and mug shots. She was then taken to Oakland County for lodging.
Civil matter
On Thursday, May 1 an Oakland County Sheriff was called to a home on Oakwood Road to assist in settling an eviction dispute that started in September 2002. The evicted tenants had left belongings stored in the property garage and returned to discover they were no longer being stored by the property owner. The owner complained he had stored the belongings too long and had thrown them away. The matter was left unsettled.
Malicious mischief
On Thursday, May 1 a mailbox was removed by the post and dumped at a home on Church Street, and later found on Oakwood Road. Address plates were also switched on Church Street. There are no suspects in the case at this time.
Tools taken
On the 8000 block of Henderson in Atlas Township a tool trailer was broken into at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2. A $800 generator and a $700 air compressor were taken. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Department has not closed the case.
Five on one
At 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 a 23 year old Goodrich man was assaulted by five other suspects. He was transported to Genesys Health Park via Swartz Creek ambulance. There are currently five warrants out for the suspects. The incident occurred on Hegel and Clarence.
A smoke and a phone call
At 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 a Hemlock Loop resident discovered his home had been broken into and the thief took a pack of cigarettes and a cell phone.
Road hazard
At 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, officers were called to Hummer Lake Road where a resident was found tossing large boulders, rocks, tree limbs and lumber into the road. The resident said it was his property and he was attempting to stop the erosion in front of his house. After officers insisted, the resident removed the pile from the road without getting cited.
More mailbox damage
At 9:30 a.m. on Monday May 5, a Perry Lake Road resident discovered her mailbox had been dragged, post and all, half way up her driveway. She figured the destruction occured between 10:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. There were no suspects.
Windshield smashed
On Monday, May 5 at 10 a.m. a 53 year old woman had her windshield smashed while driving south on M-15. She said it appeared an object hit her when she passed a truck, going in the opposite direction. The roof of her vehicle was also damaged by the object.

Burglary to home
At about 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, an Ortonville man came home to find his Jossman Road residence had been broken in to.
The suspect came in through the basement window, which was not locked. The man found that 30 DVDs, 10 CDs and $200 cash were missing.

Damage to property
A man living on Maple Street in the Rolling Pines subdivision in Groveland Township awoke on Jan. 12 to find his garage, mailbox and plants in the yard had been doused with chocolate syrup and shaving cream.
The man has two children who attend high school and was informed by the trooper on the scene that someone at school would possibly leak who did the vandalizing.
Drunken driver
At midnight Wednesday, Jan. 8, a 26-year-old Holly man was arrested on M-15 just south of Seymour Lake Road for his third count of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Deputies observed his blue 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier pulling out of Bullfrogs parking lot going southbound and appearing to travel at 75 miles per hour in the 55-mile-per-hour zone and swerving in the roadway.
A preliminary breath test measured his blood alcohol content at 0.176. When asked what he had been drinking, he said he had four beers, two mixed drinks and a couple of shots. He said he knew he should not have been driving.
He also had no proof of insurance, a suspended license and an outstanding warrant for drunk driving and probation violation.
He was handcuffed and taken to the Oakland County Jail.
House fire
At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, deputies arrived at a fire in progress on Hickory Ridge Road. The flames were already going through the roof of the evacuated bedroom.
According to reports, the 48-year-old resident had fallen asleep, leaving a candle burning on the night stand. The resident was awakened by the smoke and fire and attempted to extinguish the flames with a garden hose, but was unsuccessful and evacuated the premises.
When deputies arrived, the resident was uninjured but a neighbor was being treated and transported for smoke inhalation by Brandon Firefighters.

Bogus bucks
Twice on Thursday, Jan. 9, a customer passed counterfeit $100 bills to the cashier of the M-15 Shell station.
According to the station manager, it appears the person who passed the bogus bills was known by the cashier.

Euthanized deer
At 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, deputies were called to Baldwin and Granger roads to euthanize a deer that had been injured by a motor vehicle.

Frapped fence
Sometime between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 20 feet of fence on Viola Court was damaged.
The homeowner did not see who did the damage.

Pitcher to go?
At 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan 18, deputies were called after a 23-year-old man was observed leaving Bullfrogs restaurant with a full pitcher of beer.
By the time deputies arrived, the man was leaving the parking lot and almost hit the squad car.
Deputies followed the suspect to Allen Road, then pulled the car over. A 20-year-old passenger told police he had been consuming alcohol from the pitcher of beer. Police issued the 20-year-old a minor in possession ticket and arrested the driver, who admitted he drank between six and eight beers.

Gas grab
At 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, a man in his late 30s pumped $20 worth of gasoline at the M-15 Shell station and drove off in a light blue Chevy Caprice without paying.
Warrant arrest
At 1:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20 a Poplar Court resident was arrested for a no bond warrant from a second drunken driving charge, from Macomb County.
Deputies were originally called to the home to check on a loud music complaint. The 34-year-old male was turned over to Macomb County without incident.
Ice cubed
At 10:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20 a Pin Oak Street resident discovered someone had unplugged and removed the heat tape from the home’s water pipes, causing the pipes to freeze. Deputies found no evidence.

Window breakers
At 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, two juveniles were seen breaking windows of an abandoned home on Spruce Court.
When deputies arrived, the crashers were nowhere in sight and all the windows of the home were smashed.

Euthanized deer
At 8:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, deputies again were called out to euthanize a deer that was hit by a car on Sashabaw Road.

Fraudulent pass
At 3:03 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, a security guard at Mt. Holly Ski Resort on Dixie Highway called police after confiscating a fraudulent pass from a Grand Blanc high school student.
The boy denied the allegations at first, but then admitted to making the pass on his computer.
The boy stated that one other was made but had already been destroyed.

Burglars caught
A Coventry Road resident came home to find that his Play Station and 24 games were stolen. The man made the report at 7:34 p.m on Tuesday, Jan.14.
The man found footprints that led to Julie Drive in the same area. Two suspects were apprehended and the case was forwarded to the Oakland County Probate Court.

Fugitive arrest
Troopers made an arrest at 8:04 p.m. Friday, Jan.17 of a Holly man who had four outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
The arrest took place on Hampshire Road at Chateau Oakhill in Groveland Township.
Lost adult
At 5:49 Wednesday, Jan.15, a resident near Van Road said an elderly man had wandered onto their property and said he was lost.
Troopers found the man’s address and returned him safely to his home on Thread Valley Road.
Multiple thefts
At 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, deputies were called to the scene of one supposed theft and discovered two more along the way.
The first was a larceny at Wildwood Loop in Brandon Township. A mitre saw, a router and five adult videos were stolen from a shed behind the trailer. The items were discovered missing and are assumed to have been stolen between 5:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 21. There were two sets of tracks in the snow by the shed, the latch was also discovered damaged and the lock was missing.
Deputies followed the tracks across the street and looked for other sheds with apparent damage to the locks. One house did not want a report made when deputies alerted the owner of damage. Two other homes made reports.
The first, also on Wildwood Loop reported a Thermos folding grill, in a duffel bag, four Thermos propane tanks, a rusted propane tank, a Craftsman mitre saw and a two gallon gas can missing. There was no lock on the shed where the items were reported missing from.
The second home reported a 35K BTU Salamander heater, a Black & Decker jigsaw, a DeWalt palm sander, a case of toilet paper and a case of paper towels missing. The home owner reports seeing a blue Dodge Durango parked across the street from his home around 4 p.m. on Jan. 21. He said two people were in the vehicle; one was a white male with red hair.

Damage to property
At 5:25 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, a report of damaged property was made at a house at Redbud Lane and Fir Street.
A large bush in the front yard was broken at the ground level. The complainant needed a report filed for insurance purposes.

Theft from vehicle
At 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, a larceny from a vehicle was reported at Hemlock Loop and Dogwood Boulevard in Brandon Township.
A CD player, speakers and 15 CDs were stolen from a black 1991 Blazer. The complainant suspects her sister of the theft. She reported that her sister, who is a stripper at Shenigan’s, had been threatening to collect on a $100 loan.

Stolen speakers
At 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, on Dogwood and Redbud Lane a larceny from a vehicle was reported. The report of four stolen speakers was made for insurance purposes.
The theft was made from a motor home in storage at the Clarkston Lakes Mobile Home Park.

Drunken crash
At 6:49 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at M-15 and Glass in Ortonville, deputies reported to the scene of a crash caused by a driver operating under the influence of liquor.
A man in a red Jeep Cherokee rear-ended a woman in a silver Volkswagen Jetta, who was braking to turn left, reports said. The man admitted to drinking three Labatt’s and three Captain Morgans and Cokes since 11a.m. A preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol level to be at 0.155 percent. The man was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail, housed for detox and ticketed.

Gasoline theft
At 1:38 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Ortonville and Wolfe Roads, a larceny of gasoline was reported at the Filler Up Station.
The vehicle and driver were identified by the attendant, and a citation was mailed to the thief.

Fast drunk
At 4:34 p.m. (******date) police pulled over a vehicle on Oakwood Road near Hurd Road. The vehicle was traveling 70 miles per hour, and the driver was found to have a strong odor of intoxicants on him.
He was given a preliminary breath test and found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.25 percent. He was lodged at the Oakland County Jail and housed for detox. The man’s license was destroyed, and his vehicle was towed to Byers.

Damaged fence
At 11:55 a.m. on (******date?) at Hadley and Granger roads, deputies responded to a malicious destruction of property report.
An Ortonville resident reported a six-foot section of wooden fence near the road was damaged, apparently on purpose.
This is reportedly the third time this has happened to this fence.

Personal injury
At 10:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, police reported to the scene of a rollover accident on Oakwood Road near Church Street.
Upon arrival, deputies found a red Sunfire with considerable damage. The driver, a 19-year-old Ortonville female, was at a home across the street. Deputies found her to be bleeding from wounds on her head and chest.
She said she had had a few shots of vodka at a friend’s home before driving home, and had lost control of her vehicle.
She was taken to Genesys Hospital by ambulance for her injuries. The case remained open at the time of reporting, pending results of the woman’s blood draw.

At 5:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, a deputy reported to Baldwin Road, to put down a deer which had been hit by a vehicle.

On Thursday Jan. 16, police responded to three reports of larcenies from a vehicle throughout the day.
The first report came at 7:50 a.m. and reported a cell phone stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
The second report was of registration and insurance papers being stolen from the glove box of a 1991 Pontiac Bonneville on Hawthorn Street around 9:57 a.m.
The third report came in at 10:45 a.m. on Butternut Street in Brandon Township. A jumper cable box was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
There are no suspects or recoverable evidence in any of the cases.

At 4:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, an ATV was reported stolen from the front yard of a home on Oakwood Road near Hurd Road. The vehicle has been entered into the law enforcement information network. There are no suspects in the theft at the time of reporting.

At 4:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, an all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen from the front yard of a home on Oakwood Road near Hurd Road.
The vehicle has been entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network.

Fraud and theft
An Ortonville woman received a phone called about 5:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 from a representative at National City Bank. The bank had noticed some increase in activity on the woman’s Visa Card and asked her to check and see if she had the card.
She discovered her Visa Card and a Shell gasoline card were missing from her wallet. National City said the card had been used at Bueche’s Food World, Target, Rite-Aid and a gasoline station. The Shell station also reported that the woman’s gasoline card had been used twice.
The woman said the only time she left her purse unattended was during communion at Sunday Mass at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. She suspects that the woman sitting next to her at church may have taken the cards.

Damaged lines
At 11:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, a report was made of damaged property on Oakwood Road near Cedar Street in Brandon township.
Detroit Edison power lines were damaged, and came down when an Oakland County Road Commission dump truck ran into them during a road salting trip. Two poles were also damaged.

Warrant arrest
At 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Sashabaw and Sherwood roads, deputies approached a Goodrich man for a warrant arrest on counts of child neglect. Bond was set at $2,800.
The man was searched after his arrest and found in possession of eight to 10 marijuana roaches.

Stolen check
At 8:12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, the manager of Forster’s Auto Wash on M-15 in Brandon Township said he found his checkbook laying on the office desk, when he clearly remembered putting it in a drawer.
Upon inspection the man found a check had been removed from the middle of the book. He had no idea of who could have taken the check.

Warrant arrest
At an undisclosed time Friday Jan. 31, a 52-year-old Brandon Township man was arrested on South Street. He was picked up on a four outstanding warrants.
At the time he was arrested he had a blood alcohol level of 0.197 percent.

Window, not man
At 1:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 a report was made of damaged property at an apartment on Oakwood Road near Timberwood Trail in Ortonville.
During a party, a man and woman argued and the woman threw a glass beer mug at the man. She missed him, but the glass broke through a window instead.

Owner dispute
At 5:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, the owner of Wow Tan on M-15 in Ortonville reported a threatening phone call. He said the previous owner called using strong language and making threats over the phone.
Deputies contacted the woman and she acknowledged making the phone call to him, but denies making any threats. There appears to be some monetary discrepancy between the owners.

Meter tampering
At 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, a Hemlock Loop resident reported that her power was out, but she appeared to be the only house on the street. She investigated her power box and found large foot tracks near her meter.
Upon further investigation, deputies found that the meter had been taken off the electrical box outside her home. Deputies followed the footprints in the snow across the lawn to the neighbor’s house and up to his porch.
Deputies knocked on the door and were invited in by the neighbor. When asked why he had been in his neighbor’s yard, he said he had just arrived home from work. Deputies asked to inspect several pairs of tennis shoes by the front door, one pair which was wet. The latter pair had tread matching the footprints, and the man admitted to having cut off his neighbor’s power.
The man said the woman next door plays loud techno music and it disturbs his family. The man also told deputies that he had previous felonies on his record, but had stayed out of trouble in recent years.
He was billed for the repair of his neighbor’s electric meter.
Assault and battery
Two White Lake women were assaulted at Dirty’s Bar in Groveland Township.
The incident started around 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. The owner of Dirty’s was asking one of the females questions she thought were inappropriate. She saw a man in the bar who had spread rumors pertaining to the questions.
She became upset and the owner escorted her out, pushing her through the door. The woman pushed back and the owner picked her up and slammed her against a wall, hitting her head. He then assaulted her sister and threw them both again. He then threw two buckets of water on both.
Both women had bruises and scratches. The case was open at the time of the report.

Retail fraud
At 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb.7, a woman from Ortonville came into Bueche’s Food World and stole some merchandise.
No clerks saw the incident, but a camera in the store recorded her taking a ham, a sandwich and a chicken. Her explanation was that she only had $1.40.

Missing equipment
Troopers were dispatched to Recovery Systems on Ortonville Road near Grange Hall Road at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6.
The owner of the building says he rents out the space to someone else and the man was being evicted. The owner came in the next morning and saw that all his tenant’s belongings were gone and thought a robbery had taken place.
He called the post and made a report, but later found it was the tenant who removed his things.

Loud dog
At 3:35 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, a Groveland Township man reported his neighbor’s dog was always barking.
The men live on Weatherford Drive near McClelland. The owner of the pet said he understood and would try to settle his pet down.

Drunken driver
On the way to a business alarm call, troopers noticed a vehicle traveling down Grange Hall Road driving erratically. They made a traffic stop at 2:29 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent. The Groveland Township woman was intoxicated and was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail.
Drunk driving plus
At 12:44 a.m., Friday Feb. 14, a 25-year-old Ortonville man was arrested in Brandon Township for operating a vehicle while impaired and for driving with a suspended license.
A deputy observed the late-model Ford Ranger turn northbound on M-15 from S. Glass Road. While traveling north, the vehicle crossed both the center line and the fog line on the road three times between Glass Road and Mill Street. Although the deputy activated lights to signal the driver at Mill Street, the driver did not pull over until he reached Bueche’s parking lot.
When asked, the driver said he did not have a driver’s license, and deputies observed that he smelled strongly of intoxicants, had bloodshot, glassy eyes and was speaking with slurred speech. The driver staggered when he walked, and failed several verbal sobriety tests.
The Law Enforcement Information Network showed the man had two previous counts of suspended licenses, along with two driving with license suspended convictions, a conviction for failure to stop and identify after an accident and an officer safety caution for carrying a concealed weapon.
The man was given a preliminary breath test, which showed a blood alcohol level of 0.11 percent. The man said he had two 22-ounce beers after work at 9 p.m., then had gone to Bullfrogs where he had three beers.

Credit card fraud
At 8:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, deputies responded to Woodgrove Road to take a report of credit card fraud. A 50-year-old Ortonville woman said an unauthorized purchase of a credit card monitor service was made on her Discover Card by a woman in California for $79.95.
The woman cancelled her credit card and needed a report for the company.

Shattered window
At 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, a malicious destruction of property report was made for a vehicle with a shattered passenger window.
The incident happened on South Street near Varsity Drive. There were no suspects or witnesses.

Marijuana bust
At 11:58 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, officers came upon a vehicle parked in the middle of Kathleen Lane, near Seymour Lake Road in Brandon Township.
In the vehicle deputies found two young men, ages 19 and 17 and both from Clarkston. Both men smelled strongly of marijuana, and admitted to recent use. The vehicle smelled so strongly of the substance after the young men were escorted away that a narcotics K9 unit was called in for a search. The K9 tagged $480 in the 17-year-old’s wallet, which was confiscated because of his lack of explanation for the money.
The 19-year-old was ticketed for possession and use of marijuana, and for a third offense of a minor consuming alcohol, which he admitted. The 17-year-old was ticketed for use of marijuana and tobacco.

Drunk and injured
At 3:49 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, a Clarkston man was ticketed for a first offense of operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor.
The 27-year-old man was on his way home from a bar in Flint when his vehicle swerved into a tree at Oakwood Road and M-15. Two witnesses said the driver was at first unresponsive. When the man came around, he said he had four or five vodka drinks at the bar and a couple of shots. He was unaware of how the accident happened.
He was removed from the vehicle by the Brandon Township Fire Department and transported to Genesys Hospital, where a blood draw was performed to determine blood alcohol content.

Music and marijuana
At 12:37 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17 a woman was ticketed for marijuana use and possession as well as disturbing the peace on Village Court in Ortonville.
Deputies responded to a call from a neighbor of loud music; when they knocked on the door the music was turned down. When they knocked again, the 47-year-old apartment owner opened the door and was asked for identification.
While retrieving her license from the bedroom, deputies observed a pack of rolling papers and a pipe in the room. As they questioned the woman, she produced a baking tin containing approximately five ounces of suspected marijuana, which was confiscated. She was issued an appearance ticket for both offenses.

Drunk and bribing
At midnight Tuesday, Feb. 18, a 42-year-old Grand Blanc woman was arrested in Brandon Township after testing for driving under the influence of alcohol.
An Oakland County deputy was dispatched to Glass Road and M-15 where he found the woman, who was spotted driving erratically then pulled into the strip mall at Glass and M-15.
The deputy observed the woman, who had parked her car and sat in the parking lot for several minutes. He then observed the vehicle move to the parking lot across the street at the Shell station, where the woman then sat in that parking lot for several minutes.
The deputy questioned the woman, who was crying and explained she had been arguing with her husband. She continued to cry and became evasive toward the deputy, reports said. I
The woman denied consuming alcohol. After asking her to walk over to the patrol car, however, the deputy noticed the woman walking with an unsteady gait. When asked to take a Breathalizer test, she ineffectively blew into the equipment. When the deputy repeated the test five minutes later she registered a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent.
The woman then attempted to give the deputy two $20 bills from her wallet. When the deputy refused the money, she asked him if he wanted more money.
Then she demanded to use the bathroom as she attempted to vomit in his patrol car. After the deputy allowed her to use the bathroom, she then refused to exit the Shell station and started screaming and kicking as she collapsed on the floor.
The woman was taken to North Oakland Medical Center for blood tests, then transferred to detox at the Oakland County Jail.
A background check revealed she had a prior conviction for OUIL. She was arrested for a second OUIL and a review was requested for attempted bribery and resisting arrest.

News nabbing
Sometime between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 a newspaper vending machine was nabbed from the Cracker Barrel Grocery Store. There were no witnesses.

Cash gone
Sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, thieves broken into a Stonehenge home in Brandon Township. The residents discovered the break-in took place through a basement window.
The dungeon dippers not only violated the privacy of the homeowners, but took hard-earned cash before sneaking away from the crime.
According to reports, there appeared to be two different size footprints in the snow around the home and leading away from the property. It appeared there may have been a waiting car outside the home, because the footprints ended at the roadway.

Day dirty deeds
Between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, someone scratched a vehicle from stem to stern on Hemlock Loop. The resident told deputies she does not know who would scratch her vehicle as it was parked in her driveway.

Drunk driving
At 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, a deputy observed a vehicle with only one headlight, heading westbound toward him at M-15 and Seymour Lake Road. As the deputy turned his patrol car around, he caught up with the vehicle which had been observed sitting at the intersection for more than a minute even through there was no traffic.
As the vehicle resumed traveling north the officer paced it at between 20 and 50 mph. After the driver pulled into the Boar Bar, the deputy stopped to question the driver and he detected the odor of alcohol, the driver’s eyes were red, and her speech was slurred.
After admitting she had two beers she agreed to a sobriety test which indicated a blood alcohol level of 0.16 percent. The 31-year-old Ortonville resident was arrested and further tests resulted in a BAC of 0.18 percent.
Underage drinker
A Waterford woman was stopped on Tripp Road and Dixie Highway for a lane use violation at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22.
She was found to be intoxicated and also had a warrant out from the Holly Police Department. The underage girl was given an minor in possession citation and was released with an appearance date.
The girl’s blood alcohol content was 0.161 percent.

Suspended license
At 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, troopers noticed a man in his pickup truck on M-15 blocking traffic.
Upon investigation, the man’s vehicle smelled like lacquer thinner and troopers noticed a soaked rag between his leg. He gave them his identification which stated he had some medical conditions. They transported him to Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
The Holly resident acted suspiciously throughout the investigation and was also intoxicated.

Harassing calls
On Tuesday, Feb 25 a Groveland Township woman reported that someone had been calling her many times.
She called the Groveland post and they advised her to put a trace on her phone by Ameritech. The woman kept a log of the calls so they could proceed on an investigation.

Found wallet
The manger of a Clark Gas Station in Groveland Township found a wallet Saturday, March 1 and turned it over to Groveland State Police.
The owner was located and she found all the contents were still there.

Missing petroleum
Twelve liquid petroleum tanks came up missing from Food Castle Market in Groveland Township.
The incident happened sometime after 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 2.
Running minor
Troopers investigated a possible minor in possession party in Groveland Manor Trailer Park at 3 a.m. Sunday, March 2.
One of the minors saw troopers and started running, but eventually was caught. His blood alcohol content was 0.157 percent.
He was issued a citation and was released.
Bullfrogs break-in
At approximately 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, a breaking and entering was reported at Bullfrogs on M-15 in Brandon Township.
The manager said that, when he arrived in the morning, an employee and the chef were already present, so the back door had been unlocked. He went to the office and unlocked the door and the safe to begin the day. Upon opening the safe, the manager discovered money missing from the cash drawers which were in the safe. The amount taken was $1,200.
The manager then called the night manager, who reported leaving three drawers each containing $400 in the safe. To be sure, the manager unlocked a second safe, and found nothing missing from it.
The manager said he suspected a person who would have a key to both the outside door and the office door, as well as the combination to the safe. He said six people have the safe combination and keys, including himself, two additional managers, a bartender, the owner and an ex-employee. Each of these people also have a disarm code for the outside alarm, except the ex-employee.
Deputies responded to an alarm at the business at 5 a.m., but found nothing but a set of footprints at the back door. The manager also reported that the ex-employee’s girlfriend had previously threatened the business, and that all the current employees denied taking the money when questioned.
Deputies noted there was no forced entry on either the outside door, the door to the office or to the safe. The case remained open pending investigation at the time of reporting.

Peeping Tom
At 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 on Hemlock Loop a 23-year-old man said he saw a peeping Tom looking in the window as his wife was changing.
He reportedly yelled and the man took off. Reports said a neighbor tracked the man’s prints, and ruined the integrity of the prints.

Smashed windows
At 8 p.m. Monday, March 3, a 43-year-old man on Hadley Road reported a malicious destruction of property, in which the vehicle shared by his two daughters was damaged sometime during the night while parked in the driveway.
The driver side window and the rear windows had apparently been smashed with rocks which were found laying in the front and back seats of the vehicle.

Runaway tire
At 2:38 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 a 49-year-old woman reported property damage on Baldwin Road in Brandon Township.
As she was driving southbound on Baldwin, a rear tire came off a vehicle heading northbound and struck her vehicle, causing slight damage.
The man whose car the wheel came off of stated that his vehicle had ball-joint work done the week prior to the incident.

Suspended license
At 2:29 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28, deputies observed a white Buick driving southbound on M-15 with no license plate on the vehicle.
Upon stopping the car, deputies found a 31-year-old man from Flint driving with a suspended license. The vehicle turned out to have a paper plate, but the expiration date was illegible. Deputies found the man had his driver’s license suspended eight times, his current license was expired and the vehicle he was driving was not his, but his stepbrother’s.
The man was found to have three outstanding warrants for misdemeanors and four counts of driving with license suspended. The vehicle was impounded, and no one would house the suspect, so he was released to his place of employment.

Smashed window
At 9 a.m. Saturday, March 1, a 19-year-old man reported malicious destruction of property to his vehicle.
He spent the night at a friend’s house on Ramsey Road in Brandon Township after a Brandon High School game. The vehicle was parked in the driveway at 11 p.m., and when he came out to the vehicle in the morning, he found the windshield had been smashed.

Open door
At 2:20 a.m. Sunday, March 2, deputies responded to an alarm at the Sunoco Station on M-15 in Brandon Township.
Upon arrival they found an unsecured back door, but a sweep showed nothing disturbed. Police secured the door.
Assault through window
At noon Sunday, March 2 a 21-year-old Brandon Township man said the driver’s side window of his truck had been broken by a friend of his ex-girlfriend.
The man had taken his ex-girlfriend and their daughter shopping on Saturday, and after dropping them off at the ex-girlfriend’s home, the victim left. As he turned down Pinoak Road, he found the road blocked by the alleged assailant.
The assailant asked the victim if he was looking for the ex-girlfriend and said “this is from her” and tried to punch the victim through his partially open window. When the man missed, he grabbed the window and pulled until it shattered.
Theft from vehicle
At 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, a larceny from vehicle was reported on Woodland Road.
A 39-year-old Canton man, who had been arrested for domestic violence, said when he returned from jail, things had been stolen from his van, which had been secured at the scene.
His registration, insurance, copies of his divorce papers, a Sony Playstation 2, two controls, four games and a remote control were stolen, totalling $442.48.

Theft at school
At 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, a 16-year-old Brandon High School student came to the substation to report that $95 dollars had been stolen from his wallet sometime between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. March 5.
He said the money was in his wallet, which was in his pants pocket, locked in a gym locker while he was at baseball practice. Two other students reportedly had money stolen as well.

Drunken driving
At 12:27 a.m. Friday March 7, deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Oakfield Road in Ortonville.
The man smelled strongly of intoxicants and recorded a preliminary breath test result of 0.17 percent blood alcohol content. He was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor, a first offense, and for no proof of insurance. He was lodged for detox at Oakland County Jail.

Skateboard theft
At 1:02 p.m. Friday, March 7, deputies were called to take a report of a larceny from the Brandon Township Library.
A 12-year-old boy and his mother reported his skateboard was stolen from the foyer of the Library.

At 4:53 a.m. Sunday March 9, police responded to a report of a car run off the road at M-15 and Glass Road in Ortonville. Deputies found a 17 year old Ortonville female at the scene who admitted to being the driver. Her vehicle was stuck in the snow in a yard on M-15. She blew a preliminary breath test of .16, and she admitted to having three beers. She was transported to the Oakland County Jail for detox, and her vehicle was impounded by Byers.

At 10:30 a.m. Sunday March 9, a 73 year old Ortonville man made a report of mischief to the police department. His house had been Toilet Papered sometime during the night.

At 3:58 p.m. Sunday, March 9, a report was made of Larceny in a Building was made. A 56-year old woman reported that her fathers cottage on Sunset Road, near Bald Eagle Lake in Ortonville, was broken into. Her sister reported having stopped by the house and finding the window screen for the ground floor laundry room bent and out of place. She checked the home and found all the windows and the second floor door wall unlocked.
An empty liquor bottle was found in the laundry room, as well as vomit and approximately ten cigarette butts were found by the front door. The 56-year-old woman reported that she believed some jewelry and a camera had been stolen, but she would have to inventory the home.
The home was not being used at the time of the incident, due to a bad septic field.

At 7:56 p.m. Sunday March 9, A home invasion was reported on Red Maple Trail in Ortonville. The victim reported two car stereo speakers stolen from her garage. She also reported the face plate for a car stereo stolen from a car for sale, which was being stored in a garage across the street from her home. Her son believes that a Brandon High School student who had previously expressed interest in buying the car may have stolen the items.

At 5:45 p.m. Monday, March 10, a 50 year old Ortonville man reported fraud. The victim stated that someone opened a line of credit using his social security number and date of birth.

At 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, a 16-year-old male Brandon High School student came to the sub station to report that $95 dollars had been stolen from his wallet sometime between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on March 5. Chimes no more
At 11:48 a.m. Monday March 17, an Ortonville man reported someone stole a handmade windchime from the porch of his home on South Hadley Road. The stolen property totalled approximately $100. There were no suspects in the case.

Theft, drugs and stolen goods
At 9:55 a.m. Thursday March 20, a man reported that when he woke at 7 a.m., he found his truck, keys and new roommate gone. The victim, who resides on Baldwin Road near Oakwood Road, received a call on his cell phone from the roommate stating that he had taken the truck to Flint and traded it in for crack cocain. The dealer said that if the man brought him $100, he could have his truck back.
The victim reported that his wallet and credit cards were in the extended cab Ford truck. On March 21, the Flint police department called the victim to inform him they had found his vehicle.
The man did not wish to press charges at the time of reporting. The case remained open at the time of reporting.

At 1:45 p.m. Friday March 21, a County Line Reminder employee reported that a County Line Reminder box had been stolen from the Jim’s Cracker Barrel on Oak Hill Road. The employee reported that there was approximately $20 in change in the box.

At 11:25 p.m. Sunday March 23, a Brandon Township male reported that his cell phone and keys had been stolen from Brandon’s Landing Bar in Brandon Township. He stated that there was a young man who came into the bar and made a scene, and he suspects that man, but had no idea who he was. The case remained open at the time of reporting.

Mail maladies
At 5 p.m. Friday March 21, an Ortonville resident came to the Brandon Substation to make a report of mail tampering. The resident found several pieces of open mail near their mailbox after the snow had melted.

Destructed doors and cars
At 4:12 p.m. Saturday March 22, a Brandon Township man reported that his car had been damaged in the night near his home on Fir Street. The car had two scratches the length of the the vehicle and had motor oil poured over the roof and windshield. There were no suspects in the crime.

At 8:36 p.m. Saturday March 22, a Brandon Township woman reported that she heard a loud popping sound and then discovered the window in her storm door had been broken, perhaps by a BB or a pellet. There were no suspects in the incident.

Arrested at the scene
At 6:21 p.m. Sunday March 23, police reported an accident at Oakhill Road and M-15. When they arrived they made a warrant arrest of the 25-year-old male involved. The warrant was a misdemeanor from White Lake Township. He was turned over to the White Lake police department.

Second arrest for OUIL
On Wednesday, March 26, a Clarkston woman was arrested after rear ending a car stopped at the light of Ortonville Road and Mill Street.
The victim told police that after the woman hit him she then tried to leave the scene but her car would not start.
The woman was arrested after the breathalyzer results showed an alcohol level of .30.

Hiked Cycle
At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 a Kent Street resident found a bicycle stashed behind his shed. Police took the bike to the property room for safe keeping.

Drunk driving arrest
At 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 a Kawkawlin man ran off the road, into a ditch. The driver admitted to officers that he had been drinking after work and should not have been driving. He suffered minor injuries from the accident, was treated and arrested after tests showed an alcohol level of .219.

Euthanized deer
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 a Pontiac man hit a deer at Oakwood and Church . The deer sustained lethal injuries.

No smoking
Security alarms went off at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28 at the Smoker’s Palace on Ortonville Road. When officers arrived they found the back door opened slightly but saw no intruders.

Damaged sign
On Saturday, March 29 between 4 p.m. – 7 a.m. a sign and fence were damaged at Young’s Country Coney on Ortonville. Officers were unsure if the damage was sustained from strong winds or other causes.

Messy Marauders
Between 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday, March 31, a 41 year old female reported her home was broken into. The marauders pulled the safe from the wall, tore the bedclothes from the bed, left dresser drawers open, stole money from a purse, and left the tools on top of the cabinet in place of the Game Cube they made off with.

Down the lines
At 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 a pickup struck and sheared a power pole on South Street. The driver left the scene without anyone getting identification.

Foolish destruction
Between 9 p.m. – 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1 someone smashed out the windows of a car parked in the a Hawthorne driveway. The owner said she just bought the car and had no idea who could have done the dirty work, or why.

No joke
On Tuesday, April 1, an Oakland County Sheriff Deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call at Camp Nahelu on Granger Road. When the deputy arrived the back door was open but no one was home. No suspects were found.

Michigan State Police-Groveland Team

Credit Fraud
At 8:32 p.m. on Thursday March 20, a Holly resident was contacted by his credit card company that informing him that someone was trying to obtain credit in his name. An unknown suspect purchased $1,724.49 in new computer items from Dell computers. The items were delivered to a residence in Detroit.

OUIL
Troopers in the process of making a routine stop noticed four cars traveling at excessive speeds near Tripp Road. When troopers activated their sirens, two of the cars fled. They were eventually stopped and one of the drivers was arrested after reaching speeds up to 85 mph, in a 55 mph zone. The incident happened at 2:50 a.m. on Friday, March 21.

Fugitive
At 7:44 a.m., a Holly resident awoke to find a man sleeping on his couch. The man, who lives with his grandmother in Chateau Hill in Groveland Township, knew he was a friend of his grandmothers. Troopers tried to find the grandmother to see if the man had permission but she could not be reached. After a background check on both, the Holly resident was found to have to outstanding warrants for child neglect. He was given a notice to appear in court.

Felonious Assault
At approximately 8:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 3 a Holly man was at his residence in Groveland Manor Trailer Park when he witnessed a girl getting beaten with a bat. The girl was at her fathers when his live in girlfriend threatened her and struck her with the weapon. The case is pending upon investigation.

Theft from car
At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, an Ortonville woman got her car stuck on Bird Road, by Bald Eagle Lake Road because of the frost. She locked her car and sought help. When she returned the passenger window had been broken out and her gym bag was stolen.

Open Intoxicant
On Grange Hall Road and I-75, troopers executed a stop because a vehicle was demonstrating erratic driving. The Mount Morris man was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail because open beer was found in his car. The incident took place

OUIL
At 1:59 a.m. on Friday, March 28 near Van Road and Tripp troopers observed a car swerving into the fog lane repeatedly. He was pulled over and found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 0.16 percent. The Grand Blanc man was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail.

OUIL/Possession of Marijauna
On Rattalee Lake Road and M-15 a Waterford man was arrested for having one gram of marijuana on him and being intoxicated. His BAC was 0.15 percent. The man was taken to Oakland County Jail at 2:02 a.m. on Thursday, March 27.

Fleeing and alluding
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 Flint Police Department requested backup from the Michigan State Police in pursuit of a car. The Fowlerville resident fled when authorities signaled him to pull over. The pursuit ended in the village of Goodrich when the man finally stopped.

Open door
At 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 22 deputies responded to an open door alarm at CSC Electric on M-15 and Glass Rd. Deputies found the back door was unlocked. They entered to search the premises, nothing looked disturbed so they secured the building.
Lights out lifter
At 5:55 p.m. Tuesday April 22, a 37 year old female returned to her home after spending the night away from home because of no power. The woman discovered her home had been broken into and a diamond ring that had been hidden was missing. Along with the ring lift, the thief stole $650 cash. The deputy found evidence of entry through a bedroom window, no suspects were found.

BB barrage
Between Thursday, April 17 and Saturday, April 19, more than 12 residents reported vehicle windows being shot out by BB guns. Oxford and Independence Township residents suffered the same shattering attack during that time frame.

Larceny
At 9:19 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, troopers responded to a call on Rissman Road in Groveland Township. A Flint man working at a group home reported his car was broken into while he was inside working. A pair of Oakley sunglasses, mace, $60 in change and jewelry were the items stolen. A $250 paint ball gun in the car was not.
Minor consumption
At midnight on Friday, April 18 police observed a pick up truck swerving and traveling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. When officers stopped the vehicle, the 18 year old driver smelled of alcohol.
The driver denied drinking but after a breathalyzer test showed a reading of .07 the 18 year old admitted he had been drinking beer, supplied to him by a friend.
A background check showed the minor had been arrested in January for possession of alcohol. Police arrested him on the second offense.
OUIL arrest
At 3:20 a.m. on Friday, April 18, police arrested a 22 year old Ortonville male for his first offense of driving under the influence and violation of a restricted license. The man was observed crashing his vehicle through a guard rail at Seymour Lake and Sashabaw Roads, landing in the swamp. When police arrived the man was wandering around with a fresh cut on his head and his clothes full of mud. Officers administered a breathalyzer test which registered .15. The extensively damaged vehicle was impounded and the driver was taken to jail after being treated at NOMC.
Domestic assault
At 9:24 p.m.on Sunday, April 20 a Holly woman made a visit to the Groveland Post to inform Troopers that her ex-husband had violated his personal protection order and assaulted her.
Overdose
A 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, a Holly man suffered a drug overdose from various prescription drugs. Troopers responded and the man was taken to St.Joe’s Hospital in Pontiac. The incident occurred on Hampshire Lane in Groveland Township.
No pay pump accident
At 1:05 p.m. Monday, April 21 a cashier at the Sunoco station on M-15 reported a fail to pay. The cashier told officers that a middle-aged woman pumped $10 worth of gas and after having difficulty with the pump, drove away without paying for the gas. The cashier gave the woman’s license plate number to police but stated the no pay may have been an accident.
Cell caller follows drunk driver
At 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18 police received a call from a driver on a cell phone who was following a 29-year-old male in a black pickup. The caller had been following the truck since I-75 and observed the driver swerving and hitting numerous vehicles. When police caught up with the driver at M-15 and Glass Road the man looked glassy-eyed and slurred his speech. He denied drinking; however, a breathalyzer test read .13. The man was arrested and taken to jail.
Don’t dump
At 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 a 39-year-old Hummer Lake Road resident observed trash dumped on the side of the road. Upon closer evaluation, it appeared someone had dumped auto parts on the side of the road. Also found was a perscription bottle with the name of a Waterford resident. Police will follow up with a phone call to the Waterford man.

Wildlife hit by car
At 7:15 a.m. Thursday, April 24 deputies were called to Granger and Baldwin roads to euthenize a red fox that had been hit by a car.
Taken tools
At 11:25 a.m. Thursday, April 24, a Mill Street resident discovered that sometime during the night tools had been taken from the closed garage. No suspects were found.

Three beers, you’re out
On Friday, April 25, officers observed a vehicle turning onto Oak Hill Road without using a turn signal. When stopped, officers noticed the smell of intoxicants from the 18-year-old driver and noticed a nearly full case of Budweiser in the back seat of the vehicle. The case of beer belonged to the 23-year-old passenger, who admitted supplying the beer to the minor. Both passenger and driver were administered a breathelizer. The driver admitted to drinking 3 beers and his test registered .072. Both occupants were ticketed and released.

Home alone
At 8:50 a.m. on Friday, April 25, officers observed an open door at a home on Mill and Church streets. There was a German Shepard on the porch, and when officers checked in the house they found beer bottles on the floor in the living room, and both the television and radios were on. Officers found a resident asleep in the bedroom. Officers woke him to check for identification and found the man was staying with his sister for a few days. Officers brought the dog into the home and secured the doors before they left.
Broken mirror
On Friday, April 25, a Connell Road resident woke to find the mirror on her truck had been damaged. The woman said she had left the truck parked in the driveway for four to five days. The damage appears to have been done by buck shot pellets from a sling shot or launcher.
OUIL arrest
At 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, deputies stopped the driver of a pick-up who had been paced traveling between 55 and 65 miles per hour on M-15. The officer detected the smell of intoxicants, noticed bloodshot eyes, slurred speech from the driver. When asked to perform sobriety tests the officer noted the driver was unable to walk. His breathelizer test show a rating of .24. The Waterford man was arrested and taken into custody at Oakland County Jail.
Booze break and enter
At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday April 26, a 40-year-old Pinoak resident came home to a broken window and found two bottles of alcohol, a lap top computer, a revolver and a bottle of change was missing from his home. The pistol was his father’s and unregistered.
The victim figures his home was broken into between 7:30 a.m. and midnight.
Hit and run
At 8:52 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, an Ortonville man witnessed a black Chevy Cavalier hit his car and drive away in the Bueche’s grocery store parking lot. The man got the plate ID and reported it to the Michigan State Police. Upon investigation, the driver of the Cavalier was only 15 years old and borrowed the car while his parents were out. He was released to his parents.
Attempted breaking
and entering
A Holly man reported someone was attempting to break into his racing trailer on Dixie Highway and Tindall Road. Troopers responded to the call but could not locate the suspect. The incident took place at 6:40 a.m. on Monday, April 28.
Safe and sound
At 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, a 50 year old Ortonville man was found sleeping under a tree on M-15. The man was uninjured and did not require medical attention so officers took him to the home of his brother, who is taking care of him. Safe and Sound
Out of town marijuana
On Sunday, April 27, police ticketed a 22-year-old Waterford man and a 23 year old Lake Orion man for possession and use of marijuana.
While directing traffic for an accident at Sashabaw and Oak Hill roads, a man driving a Jeep failed to follow directions and was told to pull off the road.
When the driver opened his window the officer smelled marijuana and saw a bag of suspected marijuana with rolling papers next to it on the seat. The substance was confiscated and both men ticketed for possession.

Sunday, May 11, a 31-year-old Clarkston woman struck an Ortonville woman in the face at Brandon’s Landing. The two women started out yelling at one another and ended the evening with a right hook to the left eye. The Clarkston woman, who threw the punch, was escorted from the bar. The Ortonville woman went home.
Gas and go
On May 17 at 7:34 a.m., the Ortonville Marathon Gas Station manager reported that a woman had not paid for her gas at the pump. She then went inside to pay but it did not register at the pump again. She was located and paid for the gasoline.
A smoke before the game
On Tuesday, May 13, police saw a pickup truck stopped on the side of Sands Road. A 20-year-old Ortonville man and an 18-year-old Flint youth were sitting in the vehicle when officers approached. The driver opened the door and the deputy spotted suspected marijuana on the floor of the vehicle. The driver told the officer the two had just stopped to smoke it before they attended a basketball game.
Both men were ticketed.
Malicious damage
On May 13 at 6:23 a.m., a Holly man filed a report about someone vandalizing his car at Dirty’s Bar in Groveland Township. Officers found his belongings scattered but did not have any suspects.
All but the kitchen sink
On Wednesday, May 14, a Glass Road landlord told police that his tenants of 10 years moved from their home. When the landlord entered the home he found the cabinet doors, kitchen counters and doors from the bedroom and bathroom were missing.
Here’s your card
On Wednesday, May 14, a Hummer Lake Road resident found an ATM card that had been dropped by a Pontiac man at a Subway. The card had been dropped on Hummer Lake Road.
No license to speed
On May 15 a 32-year-old Oxford man was stopped for speeding on Glass Road. The man was driving his company vehicle, without a license. A record check revealed this to be the third citation to be issued to the man for driving without a license.
Loud muffler and MJ
On Friday, May 16, Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputies noticed two youths traveling in a car with a loud muffler and heavily tinted windows. When officers stopped the two 18-year-old Ortonville youths, a strong smell of marijuana came out from the vehicle. When questioned about the smell, the youths surrendered a half of a sandwich bag full of marijuana. Tickets were issued.
Friendly neighbor
At 3 a.m. on May 17, a Fir Street resident saw the neighbor’s motion light go on so he went to investigate. He found the door unlocked so he entered to see if anything had been disturbed. Nothing looked out of place so he secured the home and left.
U-Turn gets him OUIL
At 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputies noticed a PT Cruiser stopped on Perry Lake Road. The cruiser was sitting in the southbound lane. Suddenly the car took off heading northbound, but remained in the south lane. Officers stopped the 19-year-old Ortonville man and noticed he slurred his speech and smelled of alcohol. The driver stated he drank six beers, three of which were from a beer bong. He admitted he has a Minor In Posession on his record from college. When he was arrested the man’s breathalyzer results were .228.
Frog door opened
On Saturday morning, May 17, employees of Bullfrog’s noticed the entry door was open. The building was searched and secured. Nothing was out of place.
Early Sunday fight
At 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to an assault and battery of two Clarkston men. It appeared the fight was over a girlfriend and both men said they were ‘somewhat? related so no charges were filed.

On the run
A Holly woman was stopped for an equipment use violation on May 28 at 6:58 a.m. on Buckell Lake Road and Dixie Highway. A file check showed the woman had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was issued an interim bond receipt and released.
He’s mine!
At 9:25 p.m. on May 28 the MSP received a complaint in Groveland Township at Thread Valley Drive. A Holly woman, who has legal guardianship of her boyfriend, who has Alzheimer’s, was upset when the man’s daughter came to pick him up for golf. The woman has a problem with the daughter and said she is not welcome at the house. She was advised not to come back unless she had the father’s permission.
Drunk ditch driver
On May 31 at 1:38 p.m., Officers observed a suspect drive through a ditch in front of a dentist’s office on Dixie Highway and Tindall. As officers approached the vehicle, she drove further through the ditch and into the parking lot. Upon investigation, she was found to have a 0.22 percent BAC and stated ‘she had too much to drink.? She was taken to Oakland County Jail.\

On Thursday, May 29 a local Dumpster rental reported a bad check had been issued to them by a Waterford woman.
Messing with equipment
Friday, May 30 local contruction workers went to a job site on Seymour Lake Rd and a found dirty suspect smeared human or animal waste on the construction equipment.
Neglect warrants arrest
On Friday, May 30 a 45-year-old Dogwood man was arrested on a warrant for child neglect.
Ten miles of road rage
On Saturday, May 31 an Ortonville man and a Birmingham man endangered the lives of travelers on M-15. Both men were ticketed for reckless driving for what officers called a ‘road rage incident? that began at I-75 and ended at Glass Rd. The incident began when the Birmingham man drove his Hummer past the Ortonville man, on the right shoulder of the road. Both continued attempts to run one another off the road, however, they did run an innocent witness into a ditch. Witnesses say both drivers passed each other and made gestures toward each other for more than 10 miles.
Attempted suicide
At 6:01 a.m. on May 30 a Holly woman made a call to her father stating she was going to commit suicide. She lives on Dixie Highway and said she was going to do it where no one could find her. The father said he knew she was at McDonald’s on Walton Blvd. The troopers went to Dixie Highway and didn’t see the woman. The troopers saw the woman on Walton and Joslyn being helped by the Pontiac Police Department. They broke into her car window to gain access to her and then transported her to POH. It was later discovered she overdosed on medication and was being seen by doctors for psychological evaluation.
Unhappy taxpayer
At 11:03 p.m. on May, 30 a man who lives on Dixie Highway called the IRS making threats that he was going to commit suicide. The man later admitted that it was just a way to get attention.
Nine beers too many
On Sunday, June 1 a 48-year-old Dogwood man was spotted swerving his car and running a stop sign near his home. When officers pulled him over the driver admitted he drank nine to 10 beers. The breathelizer showed a .186.
Mailbox down
On Sunday, June 1 a Perry Lake Road resident found his mailbox had been broken off at the bottom of the post, during the night.
While they were out
On Sunday, June 1 a 47-year-old Pinoak resident came home to find someone had entered the home through a window. The bed sheets were untucked, the closet doors were open and papers had been dug through and the filing cabinet drawers were left opened. Fingerprints were taken from a Dorito canister that had been left on the counter.
Another invasion
On Sunday June 1 a home on Poplar Court was broken into and the thieves took video tapes and a bag of jewelry after plowing closets and dresser drawers.
20 gauge fire cracker
On Sunday, June 1 Granger Road residents were lighting fireworks when a neighbor began shooting her gun and shouting she could be louder than the party. Officers cited the 20 gauge pump rifle carrier and confiscated the gun after she admitted she had 12 beers throughout the day. The woman was also cited for disturbing the peace. A breathelizer test showed the woman had a blood alcohol level of .25.

On July 4, state troopers were called to Holly Recreation Area for an assault complaint. The suspect left the area before police arrived.
What was he thinking?
On July 8 a business woman on Dixie Highway said a man attempted to take a concrete buggy. After arguing with the man she said she called the police and the man left the scene before police arrived.
The low road
On July 8 a Grange Hall Road resident found someone had run through their property with a small vehicle, destroying trees, and plants. The thrasher left several tracks. No suspects were found.
Computer worm
On July 8 an Ingles Road officer worker came into work and found the front and side doors unlocked. Further investigation showed someone had erased and dumped all the company information from the computers. The employee said there are only four people who have the access codes to the computers.
Malicious marauding
On July 10 a Perry Lake homeowner discovered someone worked hard at being malicious by breaking all the ground level windows of his unoccupied home. The vandals also dumped red stain on the sidewalk and a wall of the house, damaged the screen door, splashed varnish on another wall and door, then polluted the trees with toilet paper. The marauders did not enter the home, nor was anything missing.
Gas guzzling
On July 10 an Allen Road resident found that someone had syphoned at least 10 gallons of gas from his vehicle. He thinks the same thing may have happened to him a week earlier.
Gone with gas
On July 10 an employee from a Dixie gas station reported a man in a tan pick-up truck drove off without paying for his gas. The victim refused to prosecute but preferred the suspect pay the bill instead of being apprehended.

Crossed the line
On July 12 an Oakland County deputy observed a Brandon man drive across the center line, causing the oncoming vehicle to run off the road, on Sashabaw Road. Before the deputy could stop the man, he again crossed into the lane of oncoming traffic. When stopped, the man admitted he had been drinking at the bar. His field sobriety breath test registered .20. The driver was arrested and taken to Oakand County Jail.
Crossed all lines
On July 12 a 26 year old Ortonville man was observed crossing the double yellow line then swerving over the fog line on Seymour Lake Road. When stopped and asked to exit the car for a field sobriety test the man nearly tumbled to the ground. He registered a .281 on the breathelizer test and was arrested for drunk driving.
Messing with mailboxes
On July 12 mailboxes and mailbox posts were destroyed on Perry Lake Road. No suspects were found.
Foiled by wood
On July 12 thieves were thwarted when an alarm sounded as they tried to enter a home via a glass door wall. A neighbor heard the house alarm and when went to investigate he heard a loud car speed off, going east on Hummer Lake Road. When the neighbor and police investigated the home they found the screen removed from a doorwall. The doorwall was partially opened but was stuck because the homeowner had wedged a piece of wood in the doorwall track. Neighbors had earlier seen a red Cavalier parked west of the house. Police were also able to get a print from the door.
Radar senses
A Lockwood Road resident had two vehicles broken into on July 13. At around 1 a.m. the resident heard a loud noise outside his home. He discovered the thieves stole a radar detector from one of the vehicles. He told police he has an idea who the culprits are.
More vehicle break-ins
Another Lockwood Road resident woke to broken car glass, on July 15. When she went to get in her car she discovered someone smashed her car window and stole her purse from her vehicle.
Another larceny spree
On July 16 police were called to seven separate locations on Granger, Edward and Kent streets for breaking and entering larcenies of vehicles. The thieves broke windows in the cars to steel, purses, wallets, radar detectors, a lap top computer, fishing equipment, credit cards, and $1,400 worth of new golf clubs. In one vehicle the sticky fingers stole U.S. money but left the Canadian bills. Some of the items were recovered from bushes next to several of the vehicles.

Belligerent OUIL
On Sunday, June 1 a 21-year-old Ortonville man was observed swerving all over the road, while following an officer. When the officer turned on his overhead lights the driver pulled into a parking lot and exited his car. When he was told to return to his car he became belligerent and when officers restrained him they noticed a bottle of rum leaning against the passenger seat with the cap off. He was cited and jailed for driving under the influence and for open intoxicants. The driver’s breathelizer test was .18.
Three beers too many
On Tuesday, June 3 a 46-year-old Metamora man was arrested for drunk driving after officers noticed he was driving at an inconsistent speed and crossing the center line on M-15. Although he said he only had 3 beers, he failed each sobriety test and blew a 1.5. The man was lodged at Oakland County jail.
Home invasion
A homeowner discovered someone entered his home and had opened all the dresser drawers in the house. Two large jars of change were missing. No suspects.
Keep off the grass
A Dunwoodie resident filed a report that someone drove across his lawn, damaging ten feet of grass.
Rock in windows
On Tuesday, June 3 a 20-year-old Dogwood resident reported he was driving back from a fire call and was struck on the driver’s rear quarter panel with a rock.
Stuck truck
On Wednesday June 4, three people got a truck stuck on a Granger Road lawn while retrieving a sofa from the home.
The passengers left the truck in the mud until the next day.
Too early for food
On Thursday June 5 at 4:30 a.m. an open door alarm was sounded at a business on M-15. Officers found the emergency exit door had been opened but everything was normal inside the restaurant.
Seven years bad luck
On Thursday, June 5 someone may fear a run of seven years? bad luck after busting out the driver’s side window and mirror of a vehicle on Pinoak.
Warranted arrest
On Thursday, June 5 officers arrested a 22 year male on an outstanding arrest warrant. The Ortonville man was taken to Oakland County Jail.

Fight night
On Thursday June 5 a 19-year-old male was attacked by an 18-year-old male and an unknown accomplice. The two hit the man in the face numerous times, causing him to lose a tooth, cutting his lip and giving him two black eyes. The two beaters then ran from the scene.
Witnesses gave police an account of the fight.
The 19-year-old was transported to Genesys Hospital by the Brandon Fire Department.
Forgot the DVD
On June 5 a Cedar Loop resident was gone for an hour and came home to find someone had broken into his home through a back window. The thieves went through all the drawers and ended up taking jewelry, silver dollars and quarters, but missed the brand new DVD.
More home invasions
On Friday, June 6 another home was invaded on Hemlock Loop. The thieves snaked into the house through a back window and took a gold necklace.
A drop of evidence
On Friday, June 6 an employee was leaving the restaurant he worked at and found the passenger window of his car had been broken out. Although employees had already swept up the broken glass, police found droplets of blood where the car had been parked.

Popped the trunk
On Friday June 6 someone broke into the trunk of a vehicle on Wildwood Loop. The resident said the incident happened while he away but nothing was missing. There are no suspects.
Drunk Driving injury
On Saturday, June 7 police were called to an accident on M-15 where a driver ran his Neon into a ditch. Although the car was traveling north bound, the car ended up heading south in the northbound land. When police arrived the 21-year-old Ortonville man was wet, muddy and smelled of alcohol. At first the driver denied drinking but then admitted to drinking three beers at a friend’s house, then several more at a bar in Pontiac. The man registered .11 in a breathelizer test. He was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail.
Saw the light
On Sunday night, June 8, neighbors noticed flashlight movement in a Pinoak home. The residents were not at home so the neighbors called the police to check out the home, but found no one in the house. The back door was opened, but money was on the table, untouched.
Bloody smoker
On Sunday, June 8 an M-15 business was broken into and the thieves took 60 to 70 cartons of cigarettes. An automatic alarm went off at 3:00 a.m. which drew officers to the store. The front window had been smashed and officers found blood around the window.
Police also found a broken Lotto dispenser and several cartons of cigarettes on the floor.
A neighboring business owner said he had seen a white male in his mid-to-late 20’s in the area. He gave a complete description to officers, who gathered evidence and turned it over to Oakland County for testing.
Gas drive off
On Sunday, June 8 a male in his 20’s filled up the tank of a light green Grand Prix, at an M-15 gas station and drove off without paying. The clerk was able to get the license number of the car.
Illegal smoke
June 8, officers observed an 18-year-old Oxford male driving slowly and swerving as he drove. Officers stopped him and observed the smell of marijuana. The driver denied smoking the drug and when tested he did not test positive for the drug. However, the driver was driving in violation of his license. The passenger of the car did admit to smoking marijuana in the car and was issued a ticket.
Bad bounce
On June 11 police were called when a Pennzoil employee became upset after a basketball dented his car. A neighboring Montessori teacher suggest the police be called when the employee began yelling at two children who had been playing on the playground of the Montessori school. The employee plans to take the complaint to Civil Court.
Attempted Larceny
On Wednesday, June 13 someone attempted to remove the radio from a car, but failed, but not before causing extensive damage to the dashboard of the car.
Break in
On June 12, a rock thrown through the window of Smokers Palace on M-15, gained someone access to cartons of cigarettes; however, the alarm drew Sheriff’s Deputies to an empty store.
MDOP on Pinoak
On June 12 someone keyed a 20-year-old female’s car causing more than $2,000 worth of damages. The car owner has an idea of who did the damage.
Property damage
On June 12 a Glass Road resident was turning into her own driveway when she said the brakes went out on her car, causing her to hit the neighbors? home. Before police arrived the girl backed her car up and the brakes worked. Extensive damage was done to the porch and wall of the home.
Hemlock Loop larceny
On June 13 a resident heard the horn of her car honking. She went out and the dome light was on, and the car radio, along with her husband’s wallet were missing.

On June 13 a dashboard was damaged and the radio, CDs, and darts were stolen out of a car on Cedar Loop.

On June 13 a cell phone and $40 were stolen from a car on Butternut.

On June 13 Brandon deputies assisted with a traffic stop on Auton Road, the suspect was apprehended and arrested for domestic violence.

On June 14 someone slashed the tires of a vehicle on Holly Hock. The resident has no idea who would do the destruction.
MDOP on Wildwood
On June 14, someone slung mud at a home Wildwood damaging the outside skirting. No suspects were spotted.
Two a day
On June 13, at 8:05 p.m. the Groveland Township Fire Department responded to a call about an overdose on medication. The MSP and the Fire Department have been to the home numerous times. The Holly woman who overdosed is also a caretaker or two young children. A report was made to authorities about the neglect.
Larceny on Cherry Court
A Cherry Street resident said she overhear three kids talking about steeling her vehicle, which she had found was missing headlight covers on June 16. The resident said the three kids were white males, wearing baggy pants.
Larceny on Wildwood
A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle parked on Wildwood on June 14. No suspects were apprehended. There was another theft of a cell phone from another car parked in the same drive.
Illegal entry on Redbud
On June 14 a Redbud resident came home and found the rear window was removed and someone had entered her home. All the doors and drawers were opened. Nothing was missing and no one was in the house.
MDOP on Baldwin
On June 15 the window of a vehicle shattered. There are no suspects.
MDOP on Sandstone
On June 15 someone flattened all the tires and dented a fender of a vehicle on Sandstone Road. The Onstar and radio antenna were also taken. The resident suspects a neighbor may have done the damage.
Assaulting minor
On June 16 deputies were called to an M-15 restaurant to assist in removing two men who were assaulting employees and customers. When deputies arrived customers and employees were holding the pair down. Both combatants were tested for alcohol consumption. The minor breathalyzer test was .159, second blew .110. Both were taken to Oakland County Jail.
Bag of tricks
On June 15 at 2:10 a.m. MSP stopped a Holly woman on going north on Dixie Highway near Tripp Road for weaving across the center lane. Upon investigation, the woman admitted to having four or five beers from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. She was asked to perform sobriety test, which she failed. The officers found a small bag of marijuana also in her possession. She was arrested and transported to Oakland County Jail.
Angry carpenter
On June 19 at 1:12 a.m. MSP troopers were dispatched to a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, troopers questioned a couple about their dispute. The woman said her husband was supposed to be building her a pole barn, but would constantly spend the money on beer. When the argument escalated, she tried to call authorities but the husband smashed the phone and pushed her. He was taken into custody.
Home invasion on Apple
A diamond ring, gold ring, $2,000 cash and $200 in coins were stolen from a home on Apple Court. The residents were not home at the time and there are no suspects.
Peace disruption
On June 17 deputies were called to an Oakwood home because loud music was disturbing the neighbors. The home smelled of marijuana and there was an under aged teen there, so deputies escorted the teen home.

On June 18 someone spread mustard on the back of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. Scratches on the back and driver side from front to back indicate someone also keyed paint. No suspects were found.
Larceny on Butternut
On June 20 someone stole a bicycle from behind the home of a Butternut resident. The bike was nowhere to be found.
Open doors
On June 21, deputies responded to an alarm of open doors on Oakwood Road. Police found several doors open at the address but no signs of forced entry and no one was in the building.
Disorderly dudes
On June 22 an off duty police officer witnessed one man throw a punch at another in the parking lot of an M-15 restaurant. The fight drew a crow of up to 30 people before deputies arrived. The officer said the man threw the first blow for no apparent reason. Both men were ticket for disorderly conduct and released.
More open doors
On June 22 deputies were dispatched to an alarm at Clark Oil. Nothing appeared out of place so the alarm was reset and the business owner was called to check the business.
Pick on someone

MSP Detective Gary Muir investigated a animal cruelty case in Ortonville after a resident reported that a blood beaten cat walked up to her car as she was leaving for work. The woman who reported it thought it may have been directed at her because she was involved in an eviction situation with a tenant. Muir questioned the mother and her young son at 2380 Sashabaw Road about the incident, but the boy did not supply him with any information.
Bike found
June 23 a bicycle was found on S. Ortonville Road. The bike had been at the address for two days without being claimed.

Sweet gas
On June 22 an Ardsley Road resident found her gas cap open on her car, which would not start. Deputies found sugar granuals around the opening of the gas cap and recommended the owner have the car engine checked for sugar. The owner had no idea who would sugar her tank.
Keyed off
On June 23 at 12:43 p.m. a Holly woman reported to the Michigan State Police that her vehicle had been damaged sometime during the night in Groveland Township.
Stolen wallet
On June 24 a man from the Groveland Manor reported his wallet and $405 stolen from his visor. The car was unlocked and the man did not know when the incident occurred.
Home invasion
On June 26 someone entered an Oakwood home between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and stole jewelry, money and a stereo. There are no suspects.
BB binge
On June 25 three cars parked in driveways on Allen Road had windows shot out with a BB type projectile. Nothing was stolen from the cars.
Paper mess
On June 26 a pick up truck lost a load of coupon flyers on M-15. The bundles broke apart and the papers were spread along the road. The driver was located and reports say he assisted in the massive clean up efforts.
Power washing thief
On June 28 someone entered a barn and stole a bicycle, a motorcycle helmet, a four wheel helmet, a rototiller, dirt bike, air compressor, power washer and saddles. No suspects were located.
Stolen call
On June 28 suspects took a purse which included a cell phone. Calls were made from the phone and the suspects were found. Both the phone and the purse were returned to the victim.
Broken glass on Glass
On June 28 a Glass Road resident heard what sounded like rain hitting the floor. Upon further investigation he found the door wall had been shattered. No suspects were found.
OUIL and MJ, too
On June 29 a deputy observed a car traveling north on M-15 crossed the fog line three times, then crossed the double yellow line twice. When the deputy stopped the driver he could smell both intoxicants and freshly burned marijuana. The driver was given a complete sobriety test and failed each of them. She blew a .165 on the breathelizer test. A search revealed marijuana in her purse as well as in the car. The young woman was cited for drunk driving and possession of marijuana. She was transported to the Oakland County Jail.
Fugitive arrest
On June 28 at 5:53 a.m., troopers form the Michigan State Police executed a stop at Tripp Road and Dixie Highway for a lane use violation. The Flint man was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest for child neglect.
Loud music give away
On June 29 an Arbor Pine resident was awakened by loud music outside her home. Shortly after that her husband came home from work and told her the car had been broken into and her purse was missing. Deputies followed foot-steps on the dew in the grass, to the neighbor’s vehicle. The glove box was opened in the car. No suspects were found.
More larceny
On June 29 windows were broken on a vehicle on Zeer Road. A purse was stolen from the car. No suspects were found.
Another vehicle robbed
On June 29 a vehicle on Arbor Pine was broken into and the radio was removed from the dash.
Thanks thiefs
On June 29 a Hummer Lake Road resident found a purse on the ground next to her mailbox. The purse was returned to woman however, $150 was missing.
Sticky fingered thief
On June 29 a vehicle on Village Pine Lane was entered and a purse was dumped out onto the seat. Removed was $50, gum, and candy.
No illegal fireworks
A pair of Kent Road residents were ticketed on June 30 for setting off illegal fireworks. Deputies confiscated the illegal exploders.

Not my bill
On June 30 a High Meadow Drive resident discovered someone had charged an Ameritech account to her credit card, plus $600 worth of calls. The resident was advised to report the fraud to her credit card company.
CB found
On July 1 a Cedar Loop resident found a CB radio in the bushes off of the driveway.
Wallet found
On July 1 a Sashabaw resident found a black wallet. The wallet is being held by police, while they attempt to contact the owner.
Bullying ex-beau
On July 1 officers responded to a call on Juniper and Hardwood Drives, where several people had been involved in a fight. The resident stated her ex-boyfriend and a friend illegally entered her home, after calling more than 15 times the night before. Her two male friends forced him from her home and placed him in the van he had arrived in. During the struggle the ex was knocked out. One of the ex’s friends then jumped out of the van with what witnesses say looked like a sawed off shotgun. When police arrived the van was not on scene but an area search produced the van on Clarkston and Baldwin roads. A search of the van produced no gun but the occupants did have knives. The van was impounded and the occupants taken in for questioning. Police advised the female resident to file a personal protection order against the ex-boyfriend.

Disorderly destruction
On July 2, officers were called to break up a fight between a Dogwood couple. The couple were observed fighting in the middle of the street. During the fight the male fell on and scratched a neighboring car. Both fisters were issued tickets for disorderly persons and malicious destruction of property.
Invasion on Wildwood
On July 2 residents came home from a drive-in movie and noticed the sliding door was opened. The thieves made off with a CD case, a large amount of jewelry and cash from the resident’s wallet.
B & E on Hawthorne
On July 3, a Hawthorne resident came home and found the window screen had been removed from the bedroom window. The resident discovered his Zippo lighter had been lifted.
Charred mail boxes
An unknown person or persons set fire to two mail boxes on State road.
Open building
On July 3 police responded to an alarm of a building on Pioneer. The back door was opened but a search showed nothing was upset. No sign of theft. Officers secured the premises.
Suspects on Dogwood
On July 4, sheriffs were dispatched to Dogwood when a resident spotted three suspicious men cruising the area. Officers observed the men slowly driving through the neighborhood, that matched the description. When stopped, none of the men could give an address they were heading to. They all said they were from Grayling. The driver gave false name and birthdate, and the officer smelled fresh burned marijuana from the car. Officers found a marijuana butt on the floor of the car. A further search produced a drug scale and a bong. All objects were confiscated and the driver was issued a ticket for marijuana use and violating license restrictions.
Hot fridge
On July 4 a sheriff assisted the Brandon Fire Department at a motor home fire on Sandstone. The fire was non-suspicious and no one was injured. It appeared the fire started in the refrigerator ignitor.
Stolen ATV on Highbluff
On July 5 a Highbluff resident informed police his neighbor’s Arctic quad runner was missing and the family was out of town. When police arrived at the home they found the master bedroom doorwall was opened and the closet doors were opened with a change jar dumped onthe floor. Another neighbor reported earlier in the day they had seen a Chevy Cavalier speeding down the road. Another neighbor saw the same vehicle described by the first, speeding down the road following someone on a four wheel ATV. The car was red with a silver stripe on it. All witness information of the home invasion was passed on to neighboring police departments.
Build your own tool box
On July 4 a Hadley Road resident came home to an empty barn. He found that someone had taken his air compressor, a chainsaw, screw gun, framing nailer, and an air hose. No suspects were noted. The resident has no idea who may have stolen his tools.
Rowdy resident
On July 2, a Dogwood resident was escorted from a manufactured home community manager’s office because he was swearing at both the office workers as well as the manager of the complex. The manager reported to Oakland County Sheriffs that the resident was upset that tree limbs had not been removed from his lot. The employees accused the resident of throwing paper at them as he left the building. The resident admitted he lost his temper but said the park manager hit him. The manager stated he merely held the resident by the arm while escorting him from the building.
Cracker cracked window
On July 6, a firecracker was the cause of a shattered window of a car near M-15.
Larceny on Brooks
On July 7 someone entered a vehicle and stole a cell phone and credit cards. The neighborhood children found the phone. A wallet full of credit cards were left in the car. Police attempted to contact the owner of the wallet, but were unable to make contact.
Larceny on Winterberry
On July 7 someone stole an XM radio receiver and two ratchets from a vehicle parked in a drive on Winterberry. There are no witnesses to the crime.
