Funds needed for GHS, landscape,Capstone project

Goodrich-When high school students returns this fall, a new outdoor refuge will be waiting thanks to an ambitious project by a Martian senior.
Brionna Sesock and some friends picked up shovels this past summer and began transforming an eyesore, an undeveloped courtyard area of the high school, into a usable community area.
‘We would walk by the courtyard area created when the renovations and additions to the high school were completed a few years back,? said Sesock, 18. ‘The small area is surrounded by the high school buildings and should be put to good use. So for my Capstone project I coordinated a landscaping plan that includes tables, pavers and trees so students can have a place to do school work outside without actually leaving the building.?
The Capstone project was started in 2013 and is a final project that any student enrolled in an high school English class must complete to graduate. The project allows students to apply all they learned to a meaningful project.
‘The area can be a useful location for students to use,? she said.
The goal is to raise about $3,000, which is being collected through a ‘gofundme? account. The project is moving forward thanks to students? hard work, and local businesses Bryan Sorenson from A Cut Above and Bedrock Express, she said.
