Garrett Frezza

FREZZA, GARRETT LOUIS of Ortonville, Michigan; died on February 26, 2019. He was 36.

He was born August 7, 1982 in Rochester Hills, Michigan to Paul and Julie (nee: Marchessault) Frezza.  He married Jessica Johnson on April 3, 2009 in Clarkston, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife Jessica; two children, Gavin and Hazel Frezza; parents, Paul and Julie Frezza; one brother, Paul Frezza, II; one sister, Amanda (Gary) Hall; grandparents, John and Judy Marchessault; nieces and nephews, Trevor, Paul III, Nicolas, Hunter, Lucas, McKenzie, McKayla, Brady, Jacob, Mike, Kyle and Leah; parents-in-law, Trisha and Brian Reid, Gary and Michele Johnson; brother-in-law of Jaimie Johnson, Melissa Schrah, Taylor Reid and Mikeal Johnson.  Garrett was head coach and leader at GOB Gymnastics and Cheerleading.  He worked with multiple local high schools and was a coaching official with USAG and AAU.  Garrett influenced thousands of gymnasts and cheerleaders throughout his coaching career.  A celebration of Garrett’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Bridgewood Church, 6765 Rattalee Lake Road., Clarkston, Mich. 48348  Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME, 135 South St., Ortonville.  Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his children.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.     Our community as well as the gymnastics community has lost an amazing person!
    My granddaughter will always remember lessons learned by coach Garrett.
    The entire Frezza family are very kind and passionate about what they do and we have nothing but respect for them all, and sympathy for such a tremendous loss.
