Fresh off a Division 3 state championship, four members of the Goodrich girls track team earned All-America status at a national meet.
The quartet of Samantha Minkler, Janee Jones, Kaitlin O’Mara, and Kayla O’Mara finished fourth overall in the 4 x 1 mile relay at the Adidas Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday, June 19 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Goodrich’s time of 21:06.72 was good enough to earn the four competitors All-American status.
In addition, Minkler, Jones, and the O’Maras finished 11th in the 4 x 800 meter relay at the meet, running a time of 9:23.3. That mark was their best time of the year, outdoing by one second the mark they set at the state meet earlier this month.
